Unavailable: her hours are listed as 8-5, M-F, but in reality that’s just the period during which she has a receptionist answering the phone. She only actually is in the office M-W 8-5 and Th 8-12. And really, don’t think you can call Thursday morning at 8 and get in. You won’t. Outside of those times you are not getting a call back, you can only make an appointment for the hours listed above.If, by the non-medical opinion of the receptionist (not a nurse, but an unqualified message taker), your condition is “serious” she will tell you to go to urgent care. You won’t have the option to consult with the doctor outside of those hours if you need urgent, but not emergency care (bc obviously if it’s an emergency she’s definitely not talking to you, you should be in the emergency room). This is supposed to be a “concierge” doctor who is paid extra money so that if you say, break a finger outside of office hours they will prescribe an X-ray or if you know you have say, a bad poison ivy rash or UTI will go ahead and prescribe the necessary medication because you have a relationship. Don’t count on it. You will be going to urgent care. This would be fine and totally normal if you hadn’t just spent $$$ on a “concierge doctor” but you did, so it’s not fine. I personally have hung up the phone after getting nowhere with her receptionist, and used a simple telehealth service to fill my needs.
Dismissive: I was in severe pain from an acute lumbar nerve impingement. The muscles in my lower back were spasming in response to the injury and those spasms were causing me incredibly severe pain as each spasm was exacerbating the impingement. When I asked for a muscle relaxant to help with the pain she mocked me and told me I wasn’t experiencing muscle spasms, that the pain was solely from the nerve. As an athlete I know very well what a muscle spasm is. Since then I’ve learned muscle spasms are very commonly associated with that kind of nerve impingement and muscle relaxants are commonly prescribed. Those were several very painful weeks she could’ve helped me through but she did not. Total lack of compassion and actually laughed at my pain instead of treating it
Dangerous: i won’t go into detail but I had a Prenuvo scan that indicated a potentially serious life threatening condition. Her response was, I quote, “I’m not worried about that”. I believed her. I found out 18 months later that finding required an immediate follow-up. When I brought this to her attention EIGHTEEN MONTHS LATER she agreed and ordered the test. Acted like it was the first time she was hearing about it but I confirmed with the secretary she had those findings all along. I guess she wasn’t worried bc she just never looked.

I have been with Dr K Buckman for over a year now and have only had great experiences. Dr Buckman is responsive and proactive with my minor issues, the staff is equally as good. There is no wait time for appointments once you arrive and your arent rushed during your appointment. The few times I have had a question after the appointment they have responded very quickly. I am very happy with the practice.

Lack of medical care. Almost no appointment time. The worst ENT and other referrals in my life. She posted a "COMMUNITY MESSAGE" on PHYSICIANS GATEWAY. I didnt know there was a Physicians Gateway, I've tried to find out what she announced to the other doctors and staff about me, I havent been able to get my records yet, though I've requested in writing several times.

The receptionist was very strange when I called in to make an appointment. This is a concierge doctor where you pay fees to see them. The receptionist kept saying you need to go on the site to see if they are a good fit for you. I am busy and making calls on my 15 and 30 minutes break. I specifically asked her if she was a concierge doctor and she stated I would need to do my own research. Overall, it was a waste of time on the phone and viewing her online.

Excellent medical support. Always available.

Dr. Buckman literally saved my life by getting back to me promptly on a Sunday night and directing me to the ER. I HAD A HEART ATTACK!

Dr. Buckman takes the time to review my medical history and discuss any current issues in depth. Unlike many other medical practices, there is no sense of being rushed through a visit. Excellent patient service . . . . highly recommended.

Dr Buckman is very thorough. I feel that every issue was covered. She is compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend her as a PCP. Her staff is great also … very friendly and caring.

Dr Buckman and her staff are always ready to listen, schedule a visit or prescribe a test. They are kind, caring and make me feel that they care. Their professionalism and expertise are reassuring. I never feel that I am interrupting. They always have time to listen.

l am beyond happy with the care and support of Dr. Buckman, I would not have joined her at MDVIP if I did not. I have thus far been pretty healthy but like all people have had some ups and downs; I have always felt like ALL of my concerns are addressed at each visit, whether it is in person or on Zoom. Dr. Buckman is caring and adept at her craft. 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Buckman is very knowledgeable and thorough, and she’ll always take time to explain things in detail and answer any questions or concerns I may have. She stays up to date with medical trends and has a great “bedside manner”. I’ve been seeing her for many years and highly recommend her.

Six Months for an Appointment - Are you kidding me?

So my eyes started to change and I definitely needed new glasses. When I called my long time health service, they gave me a reference to replace the optometrist I used regularly who had recently retired. A phone call later I heard, "sure we can see you in six months" as if it was my lucky day. The only lucky thing at that moment was that I had the presence of mind to immediately call Dr. Buckman's office, She was pretty much the only reason I used that particular health service before she moved on to MDVIP.. When I called her office, Enyssia told me she could handle my issue and boy did she ever. Her first suggestion, as she noted, was a five star rated optometrist (Goswick Eye, if it matters) with a location ten minutes from my home. Seconds after hanging up the phone, I received Enyssia's email and called Goswick. They had an opening in 30 minutes if I could make it. "Are you kidding me", I thought to myself. In two hours after that I had experienced a thorough exam, new glasses were ordered, a follow up appointment for next year was booked and I felt on top of the world, all because Dr.. Buckman has put together a talented and efficient team who knows how to cut to the chase and give patients what they need, when they need it. So thank you Dr. Buckman, Enyssia, Robyn, Paige, and MDVIP.
