About Kira Fenton, DO
I am a board-certified internal medicine physician and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, practicing in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am proud to be affiliated with Broward Health Medical Center and honored to be a female physician serving this vibrant community. With a passion for preventative care and personalized medicine, I aim to offer a warm, attentive and professional approach to care.
My philosophy centers on my belief that healthier living is not just about discussing symptoms of illness but about cultivating wellness in every aspect of life — physically, emotionally and mentally. I believe that personalized, compassionate care can build a stronger foundation for long-term health. For my patients, I believe healthier living means partnering to create individualized plans that can help address prevention, obesity and overall well-being using a whole-body approach.
In addition to a strong emphasis on prevention, I can work with patients across a spectrum of chronic diseases, such as coronary artery disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, thyroid disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), mental health conditions and many more. My goal is to help address each patient’s unique health needs with individualized, comprehensive and proactive care.
My primary care MDVIP-affiliated practice offers a personalized healthcare experience. My practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. This approach is designed to support patients as they work toward preventing disease and, through the annual MDVIP Wellness Program services, help identify risk markers.

Reviews from the web
Her bedside manner is excellent professional, compassionate, and reassuring. You can tell she truly cares about her patients’ health and well-being, not just treating symptoms but looking at the full picture.
I actually travel from Boca Raton to Fort Lauderdale just to see her, and that alone says everything about the level of care she provides. The office staff is also courteous and efficient, which makes the overall experience even better. I highly recommend Dr. Fenton to anyone looking for a trusted internist.
When the coordinator called she explained that they would still take my insurance however, I would have to purchase an additional plan for $3000.00 + which includes specialized blood work at a special lab, EKG, etc. Basically in-order to get my annual visit that is covered by my insurance at 100% I have to take out a $3000.00 plan for services I do not need. It would be one thing if they offered this service to those who wanted it, but to take a persons insurance and force these exorbitant fees for services that a patient may not necessarily need annually seems predatory in nature.
I stated that I was not interested in the plan and I just wanted to schedule an appointment before the end of the month to have time to find a new GP.
When I called back the front desk she stated that although the plan does not take effect until next month they are not scheduling any appointments if you are not signing up for the $3000+ plan.
I said ok can I have my records since I have to go to another office, they said that they can send my records and invoice me, without giving me actual fee..
I am not telling anyone how to run their business, not all doctors are in the field to help people and its just a money grab for them, but good grief talk about zero tact in handling a situation. I did not even receive anything notifying me of the changes. Has medicine gone so low.
Drink water and take your vitamins these doctors give Zero hoots our here.
Not be disappointed. I really appreciate everyone there especially Debbie and Patty! They are so helpful and kind.
The lack of proper guidance and accountability from Dr. Fenton and her staff left me deeply disappointed with trust dissolved. Proper training should have been provided at the time this medication was released to me by trained medical staff. Not over the phone or with gesturing motions from front desk staff when I last visited this office for help. Especially considering the complexity of the medication and tools they offer.
Dr. Fenton is aware of this situation and has not reached out to me directly. Only through the front desk receptionist that stated that I would need to purchase another round of medication for an additional $250 to continue the treatment plan with the doctor. I cannot recommend their services based on my experience. This incident has been reported in detail to the proper health authorities.
TO SHOW ME A VERY PROFESSINAL
APPROCH IN MEDICINE AND IN MY TEEATMENTS AS A PATIENT.
Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
