I really appreciate Dr. Karlyn because she is very responsive to my ideas about my health. She is willing to explore new avenues in seeking wellness for me. I have some unusual lifetime medical issues and she will investigate new ideas for me. She has been very responsive to my ideas concerning alternative means of treatment. She will investigate what I present to her, looking for it's pros and cons and we will discuss it and decide the best directions to take for me and my lifestyle. She is a thinker and a researcher! I was particularly impressed when I visited a specialist, 40 miles away from where Dr Karlyn practices, and the specialist asked who my primary care doctor was and I said, "Dr. Karlyn." The specialist remarked "Oh, I have heard of her...she is very smart!" I was impressed with that! It was quite a compliment to Dr. Karlyn and really expressed one of the many attributes I like about Dr. Karlyn. She is a doctor who is willing to do research on my behalf, think about alternatives and stay very open to new ideas. I like that....I am a thinker too and I like someone who is willing to re-evaluate their ideas to see if other ideas make sense for a patient....especially for a patient who has unusual medical issues.

A severe health crisis engulfed me during the start of the pandemic - not covid but still scary. I was blessed with Dr. Karlyn who went above and beyond in her support of my recovery. She gave of her time in discussions for medical clarity, in maintaining contact for condition updates and being available for emergency texts when time was of the essence. Her medical expertise and support was critical to me as I dealt with this very unwelcome medical situation. Most importantly, she was kind and understanding throughout.
I am well and most appreciative of a true professional and medical ACE Dr. Kristin Karlyn.

I experienced severe abdominal pain beginning in the afternoon and continuing through the night. I called Dr. Karlyn early in the morning and she saw me immediately that morning, ordering blood work and a CT scan, which confirmed a diagnosis of appendicitis. She advised me to go to the ER. Although she attempted to pave the way for me to get through the ER quickly by speaking with the surgeon there and sending him the CT scan and blood work, I was advised by a rude individual at the ER front desk that the fact that the ER surgeon had this information didn’t matter and that I had to wait like everybody else. I eventually saw an ER doctor who was compassionate and he ordered another test. However, I spent a total of 5 hours in the ER waiting room before finally being admitted to the hospital for an appendectomy. Throughout those painful 5 hours, Dr. Karlyn stayed in touch with me, as well as with the ER doctors. Although the ER experience was deplorable, Dr. Karlyn continually texted me and was there for me every step of the way.
I have never experienced such compassion and diligence from any health care provider. I am appreciative that Dr. Karlyn is my physician because I know that she will go above and beyond to ensure that her patients have the best care.
