Leah Ozdemir, DO, FACOI, CMD

I was referred to Leah Ozdemir DO following the sudden onset of neurological symptoms in my arm in 2021. My PCP at the time evaluated me a few times and said he had "nothing to offer me” in the way of a diagnosis. The symptoms increased in severity so I subsequently went to the neurosurgeon who repaired two cervical fracture dislocations following an MVA earlier in the year. An MRI showed nonspecific changes "unless there was a history of cancer" which I had. The neurosurgeon referred me to oncology. That first oncology experience was very negative and left us feeling that I had a hopeless & advanced case of metastatic breast cancer. At that time I was referred to Dr. Ozdemir. I was exhausted trying to manage my health with limited medical assistance or intervention. I professionally worked in nursing for 30 years but was so compromised during this time that I was quite ineffective in that task. My first appointment with Dr. Ozdemir was a true blessing. She began immediate referrals to a new oncology system and has created and maintained relationships with other specialists as needed. She has truly been a lifeline for me as we've navigated my new normal. She and her staff are delightful to work with and are very professional. My previous MDVIP doctor of 30 +/- years informed me in 2021 that his retirement was near, And my healthcare would be put in the hands of a young, female Doctor named, Leah Ozdemir. Being an old-fashion man (back then) on the planet for 3 “score” + 14 years, that’s not what I really wanted to hear. Yet, now 3 years in, Doc Leah, has helped me manage minor maladies to major medical health scares. She listens, counsels and examines, (and I’m always aware), She remains committed to providing me with the highest quality health care. Any time I have concerns, the Doc and her dedicated staff (Christa & Ann Marie) are always there. Let me add, my spouse is a retired, fussy RN. She is my medical advocate, and has watched over my care again-and-again. After a recent meeting with Doc Leah for a meet and greet audition, She has decided, going forward, to make Dr Ozdemir her primary care physician, (which is an A+ rating by her definition). I had been bothered by interrupted sleep for quite a while and finally saw a specialist who diagnosed the possible problem and recommended a procedure to help the problem. I consulted Dr. Ozdemir and she kindly took the time to fully explain her opinion of the proposed procedure, how she thought that it was the best procedure for me and was glad that I was a candidate for the procedure. Her time and care really comforted me in my decision. Dr. Ozdemir is the best.

My, doctor, LeahOzdemir, has saved my life! She connected me to the best doctors in Denver, and helped me through the toughest time in my life. Six months ago I was diagnosed with stage three melanoma. Within two weeks she had me being seen and treated for this cancer. It was a long and difficult surgery. She was there through the entire pre and post op process. One week after surgery, I had an infection. Not only did she diagnose that , but she found me one of the best infectious disease doctors in Denver, where I was treated.. She, then, began searching for an oncology Dermatologist for my treatment. Again, I was seen immediately and started therapy. I am now six months into therapy and doing very well. I had never been sick or involved in any of the medical/hospital system before. I didn’t know where or how to navigate any of this. Dr, Ozdemir was always there.. She answered all my questions and spent all the time in the world to make sure I was comfortable with all decisions. She absolutely helped me get through one of the most terrifying times of my life, when I felt so very vulnerable. There is no one better. She is exceptional! ! Her caring and love I will never forget. She exemplifies the very best in medical care.
