I have had a weight problem most of my life. Along with Diabetes and high blood pressure I was not feeling well, and had little energy. It was a constant battle between diet, exercise and good health. I was definitely losing the battle and not enjoying life like I thought I could. My doctor for many years, Dr. Lenka Rychetsky came up with a winning answer. She recommended Bariatric surgery. It has worked out extremely well. I not only lost weight but I no longer have to starve myself in misery. I feel much better and have about twice the energy. My routine blood tests show improvement in every category and for the first time ever I am at normal levels. My A1C improved significantly. I am still diabetic but using less insulin and less insulin resistant. I owe my doctor for more many more years and better years to spend with my wife, children and friends. I was sick with Covid the first week on 2021. Dr. Rychetsky and I were in touch daily. I was monitoring my oxygen level, and it was dropping into the 80s, a point where I was becoming really concerned. My husband said I was wandering around the house like a zombie. I would sit in my sewing room gazing at my boxes of quilt projects, my fabric collection, the project I was supposed to be working on for a quilt class I was taking. I could sit doing nothing for an hour or more which is unlike me. I found food repulsive except for ice cream. Dr. Rychetsky called me and told me she had just learned of a new treatment for Covid available at Tucson Medical Center (TMC) that she thought would help me. She said she had made an appointment for me and wanted me to be sure to go. My husband dropped me off at TMC. I was escorted inside, put in a cubicle, and three male nurses started preparing me for an infusion of monoclonal antibodies. The infusion took slightly more than an hour. I was observed for another hour for any adverse reaction before I was allowed to leave. My husband picked me up, and on the way home I felt hungry for the first time in several days. We stopped at one of my favorite restaurants and ordered my favorite curried chicken salad to go. I ate it on the way home, and It was delicious. My husband noticed that I had perked up considerably and was no longer in a zombie-like state. The transformation was amazing and amazingly rapid. My oxygen level started going up. I believe if Dr. Rychetsky had not learned about the monoclonal antibody treatment and sent me to TMC, it's likely I would have succumbed to Covid. So thank you, Dr. Rychetsky, for saving my life!

I have known Dr. Rychetsky way before she became associated with MDVIP so it was a no brainer to follow her when she made the decision to do so. The value of that decision was never more apparent recently when I found a lump in my left armpit. I met with her on a Friday and because of her relationships in the medical community, I had an appointment with an oncologist the next Monday. Within a few weeks after exhaustive testing including a PET scan, biopsy, CT scan, and others, I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma. Surgery followed where only one of nine lymph nodes removed was found to be malignant. Five weeks of radiation followed (five days a week) and now I am cancer free. I was so impressed and so fortunate to know Dr. Rychetsky and the speed and professionalism with which all this happened. Without my relationship with Dr. Rychetsky, who knows where I would be today.

I have asthma. When I get a cold it settles in my lungs. Dr. Rychetsky is always there to evaluate my symptoms and guide and support me on my recovery. I love if I have an urgent medical need like a cat scratch that swells my hand up she sees me most times the same day as the phone call. I feel protected and cared for by her and her staff.
