About Lilia Sugarman, MD

If you are not currently a patient in Dr. Sugarman’s practice, a 15-minute virtual meet-and-greet appointment is required before membership is approved. Please call 610.936.6374 to schedule that appointment.

It seems like the healthcare environment gets more complicated every day. Now more than ever, I believe having a primary care doctor you can trust and who knows you more personally is important.

In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I aim to help you be healthier not only with the annual Wellness Program, comprised of advanced screenings and diagnostic tests shown to help better detect certain risk factors earlier, but also with same-day or next-day sick visits. I am able to recommend specialists when needed and review your acute and chronic illness and emotional concerns. My goal is to help you make sense of the potentially confusing and conflicting health information seen on TV and online. I strive to be your advocate and safe harbor in a medical office where you can be listened to and respected.

Helping to better educate my patients about their health has always been important to me, and I believe strongly that the patient and I are partners in trying to better achieve their health goals. I find more productive discussions can be had when we each bring our own experiences to the table: mine in medicine and the patients in themselves!

I feel that when each patient is seen as the unique person they are, then a one-size-fits-all approach to medical care may not fit everyone. I believe that more personalized care and working with the MDVIP model better allows me and my wonderful office staff to provide a better healthcare experience and more individualized care for each patient.

I am a doctor's daughter who grew up in a house where my General Surgeon father held office hours 4 days a week for his patients. In those days, General Surgeons performed everything from mole removals to thoracic surgery, and I learned so much from him during those busy afternoons. In addition, there were medical books everywhere throughout our home, so I could easily read about any…

Dr. Sugarman gets five stars from me. Very. Thorough and personable. Pursues and seeks out diagnostics if unfamiliar to her. Makes excellent referrals when needing a specialist in a certain field

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
