Testimonials from patients of Dr. Malinow
I read recently that two characteristics need to be present in order for a patient to trust his/her doctor - competence and warmth. Dr. Malinow demonstrates these and other commendable qualities consistently. He is accessible, gives his undivided attention during office visits, is knowledgeable about current trends and treatment modalities in medicine and has an excellent bedside manner.
Dr. Lou Malinow is truly a great primary personal physician. He has advised me to a better lifestyle, taken an aggressive approach to treatments when needed. He evaluates my health in a total body and mind concept vs just treating symptoms. My annual health scores continue to improve with the goal being that I should be in the upper quality tier. He is accessible and quick to respond. He… See more
In a word, SECURE, explains how I feel about Lou. We moved to Frederick, MD which is about 45 minutes away in 2011 and my biggest fear was losing him as our internist/family physician. However, we kept him and it is worth making the drive. Every time we go to the office whether it is for an actual appointment or requesting or questioning anything medically, it confirms our decision to stay… See more
I grew up enjoying premium healthcare with ready access to talented and respected practioners and facilities. But healthcare delivery devolved over time as did my personal experiences beginning with the HMO push in the early 80's. I came to expect a lower level of service, a less personal approach and overall lower quality. All that changed 10 years ago when I was referred to Lou Malinow… See more
Dr. Malinow has more than made a difference in our lives--he has saved both our lives. For me, he diagnosed renal cancer at a very early stage. For my husband, he diagnosed the immediate need for bypass surgery, a need even my husband's cardiologist did not pick up on. I could continue to list so many more potentially critical issues Dr. Malinow has identified and managed including… See more
In April of 2013 I had a laminectomy of L3,4,&5 that involved fusing and instrumentation. The surgeon was recommended by Dr. Malinow and, as usual, his advice and recommendation was excellent. The surgery went well and recovery was going along fine until I had an extreme reaction to Oxycodone and was in the emergency room twice in the following two weeks. Dr. Lou followed my progress… See more
My late husband and I first became patients of Dr. Malinow in 1999. He was there for my husband until his death and he is there for me now. I like the MDVIP experience because, all you have to do is call and they are right there for you.
I have heart disease as well as ALS history in my immediate family. In the past this cause me a great deal of health anxiety. Since following Dr. Malinow to MDVIP I feel much calmer and relaxed knowing that my trusted doctor is merely a phone call away.
Dr. Malinow is very kind and attentive. He is patient and listens to my needs. I don't have to wait long and I am never rushed.
