Louis R. Minsky, MD

Since starting MDVIP care in Baton Rouge with Louis Minsky, I'm in much better health than prior to that. My family members have been fairly short-lived, but I feel absolutely able to do great things for a long time to come. However, I am most impressed with the improvements of quality of life that have occurred to my brother in law. He was one who made his own diagnoses,health care decisions and medicine consumption decisions. He had fallen, broken ribs and couldn't accomplish daily tasks necessary for life. After moving him to a care facility, he was introduced to Dr. Minsky and his symptoms have abated so much that he is living life anew. I honestly thought he was nearing the end but he has regained function that he hasn't had in decades. It was life-saving.

On a Friday morning, I woke with pain in my right hip area (which I had a replacement about 2 years earlier) and across my back waist area making it very uncomfortable to walk. It being a Friday and most doctor offices are closed at noon, to get an appoint with my hip surgeon would be almost not happening. I contacted Dr. Minsky, shared my concern of not getting an appointment with my surgeon, maybe could he see me. Well, he did better than that. He contacted the surgeon and brought him up to date with my sympton's and the discomfort. Within 20 minutes or less, he called back, an appointment had been scheduled with my surgeon, seeing me within an hour. After the visit, I let Dr. Minsky know about the result - my surgeon had already contacted him with the new. My hat goes off to my surgeon (Dr. Neils Linschoten) and Dr. Minsky.

Dr. Louis Minsky has been my PCP for ~10-12 years, even before he began his MDVIP practice. He has always, without exception provided world class exceptional, professional care balanced perfectly with extraordinary compassion, understanding and listening. MDVIP has allowed him to shine in ways he was unable in his previous practice. I recently experienced a life threatening hospitalization over the Christmas holidays. Dr. Minsky remained involved in assisting the hospital staff, visiting and checking in on me during my 2 week stay even on his vacation days off. He always manages to be exactly where needed, even when I was unaware. He remained in touch with me, caring for my needs by phone and txt after my release, still during his vacation time off - above and beyond... His professionalism, compassion and extraordinary service are reflected throughout his entire office staff. Dr. Minsky represents the 'gold standard' of why I appreciate and enjoy my MDVIP membership.

We have known Dr Minskey since he first moved to Baton Rouge many years ago. When he told us of his association with MDVIP we decided to move with him. He has always been attentive to our needs and addresses them quickly. Sometimes he knows our needs better than we do! He listens, but knows us well enough after all these years to see what the real issues are. My husband Jim has been ill for several years now and I am the primary caregiver. I was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago and he helped me navigate through these issues. He is thorough in his care and has a keen insight into our needs. We appreciate his attention when we need him, he understands us! We are older now, but plan to stay with him until the end. His staff is beyond compare! The three of them are excellent, knowledgeable and very caring. Thank you for all you do!
