Luis J. Ragunton, MD

As members of the MDVIP program, Dr. Luis Ragunton is our Primary Care Provider. He is truly a remarkable and outstanding doctor who we respect and trust. Dr. Ragunton has gone above and beyond always providing us with excellent care. He is very proactive and will recommend testing (CT scans, Ultra sounds, MRIs, etc.) or offer the best treatment options to follow up with a specialist for any of our medical diagnoses. We appreciate his medical expertise and are very grateful for his concern of our well-being. He is always willing to listen to our health issues that we may have with caring and compassionate care. Besides having great bedside manners, Dr. Ragunton also has a wonderful office staff that is very pleasant, helpful and efficient. We feel so fortunate and indebted to have Dr. Luis Ragunton as our Primary Care Doctor. 

When I was a teenager I started having strange symptoms. I was tired, and my menstrual periods went off and on. I became constipated, and had to rely on laxatives to have a bowel movement. I saw doctors but nobody tested my blood for thyroid issues. I was told to eat fiber. As I got older I started to have more fatigue and all I was given was B12 shots. Then in 1987, I was assigned to Dr. Ragunton, at Fronk Clinic. After just looking at me he noticed a goiter. I was told I needed a thyroid blood test. He knew immediately something was wrong. As Dr. Ragunton entered private practice, I followed him. I finally got a diagnosis of autoimmune thyroid disease Hasimoto’s disease. I did see Endocrinology but all they wanted was a medication called Synthroid, and it was not working at all. Unbeknownst to me I have 3 nodules that ruined my ability to take that med. Dr. Ragunton worked over the years trying different meds until one day, he told me, he discussed me at lunch with another doctor who was an Endocrinologist. That conversation helped because the right medicine for me was figured out. As the many years have passed, Dr. Ragunton is able to diagnose correctly and treat me for a myriad of health issues. To me, Dr. Ragunton is a fabulous doctor, the best and smartest doctor I ever had!!! He has to know about all diseases and he keeps up with reading and most of all he listens to the patient. I am truly blessed to have him as my doctor and in my life!

I have been going to Dr Ragunton since the mid 90’s . Me, my late husband, my older children before they moved out of state and my youngest who still goes to him. He is the epitome of a professional physician, calm polite informed and always looking for ways to heal if not with medicine or with alternative lifestyle changes . I can’t remember any epic moment with him because every moment has been warm rapport and a journey to healing .
Thank you Dr Ragunton for doing what you do and what you have done since 1996 .

I have been a patient of Dr. Luis Ragunton for over 30 years. My 96-year-old mom, my sister and brother-in-law are also his patients. He is kind and compassionate but also very thorough in his examinations and treatments. He takes the time to listen to your concerns as well as he answers any of your questions. He always gives his best effort in finding solutions and suggestions to your health problems. In addition, his clinical staff, Aileen and Maryanne is outstanding!
