About Luke C. Williams, MD
I believe that one of the most important relationships in life is the patient-doctor relationship. Many primary care doctors today appear overwhelmed, which can result in short visits, long wait times, and minimal patient-doctor interaction. As your personalized doctor with the resources and affiliation with MDVIP, I can deliver a more individualized experience for you. My goal is to formulate a health plan that can help you pursue a healthier lifestyle. As your doctor and health coach, we can discuss in-depth your nutrition (eating habits), exercise routines, medical screenings, labs and daily medications.
I am certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and have been practicing over the last 10 years in primary care and emergency medicine in Pinellas County, Florida. I have developed professional relationships with specialists in the area, including orthopedists, cardiologists, gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, neurologists and cancer specialists, to refer as needed. My interests include wellness and prevention, sleep, dementia, heart disease, lung disease, and men's health.
It is my medical opinion, through improved nutrition and exercise, combined with daily medical goals, that patients may be able to help avoid or better control many chronic diseases that plague Americans today. I have always wanted to practice medicine from a prevention standpoint. I aim to help you become healthier as you age instead of just adding medications, if possible.
I believe that it's never too late to start taking your health seriously. I once heard a speaker say, "If you want to be kicking butt at 90 years old, you have to start kicking butt at 40 years old."
Similar to concierge medicine practices, my MDVIP-affiliated practice offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. My goal is to offer you more personalized care as you strive to be healthier and spend time with your family and friends, travel and enjoy your daily activities.

Dr. Williams is an excellent physician who helps us focus on being healthy and aware of all our health risks. We are under the MDVIP program, which includes yearly health assessments, but there is follow up with him throughout the year. We are very pleased with the service and care that we receive from him and all the office staff. Hands down the best experience with a primary doctor.

My wife Donna and I switched over to Dr. Luke's office and it was absolutely the best decision! Dr. Luke made a house call to meet my 102 year old Mother In-Law, he did this so she would be her own comfortable surroundings. She was very reluctant to switch primary care physician's but she quickly became very fond of him! We love the Amy, April and Laura too, they are amazing. The sweetest staff, very informative and accommodating. They all immediately felt like family! We love our medical family!

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Williams yesterday, and he is truly unlike any doctor I’ve seen before. He took the time to sit down and genuinely listen to my concerns—something I hadn’t experienced in over a year. My previous doctor would rush through appointments, often prescribing medications without much discussion. Dr. Williams, however, takes a thoughtful, patient-centered approach. He not only addressed my current issues but also provided valuable preventative care advice, which I deeply appreciated.
For the first time, I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment. I’ve already referred two friends to Dr. Williams and the MDVIP program because the level of care is that impressive. I have been seeing Dr. Luke Williams for well over a year now. He has been nothing but professional, proactive and generally the most attentive physician I have seen in many years. He has been a delight to go see, even when you don’t feel well. I read someone’s review about “refusal to see them”….what a load of POO. This Doctor reminds me of what physicians used to be when they cared about YOU.

Dr Luke is the best! I’ve personally had to call on him a few times last minute and he’s always come through for me whether it be for a prescription or to check something out!!!
He is always at our service even if he has to take a quick break from something to call back!
There was one time that he took us in the next day because I was really concerned about something on my daughter’s foot and he made sure that she felt comfortable and safe and we found out it was nothing but it was great just to get an opinion from a doctor!
He’s always polite and courteous gives the best advice and if he can’t do it, he’ll tell you who can,
He’s always very knowledgeable always greets you with a smile, and really goes above and beyond to help you. Dr. Williams is like a throwback to the good-old-days when doctors actually LOOKED at you and LISTENED to you, not rush in, stare at a screen and rush out without examining or anything. I was so surprised to find such a caring and thorough doc! He is so sweet and so patient (not to mention extremely intelligent and trustworthy and competent), and I am trying to get my mom to start seeing him because I work in healthcare myself, so I have a pretty high bar regarding who I would let take care of myself or my family , and he is one of the very few who make the cut. I can not say enough good things about him. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!

REFUSED TO TREAT ME AS A PCP BECAUSE I AM A CHRONIC PAIN PATIENT!!! I was not asking Dr. Williams for any pain treatment only to be my PCP but he wouldn't accept me because of my condition. I arrived for my appointment, had filled out all of my paperwork, he was well aware of the medications I was on prior to my arrival, allowed me to get my vitals taken and sit in a treatment room only then did he send his office manager in to tell me I was being refused service. He didn't even come in and tell me himself, when I said this was a problem and I needed to speak with him I was left in the room alone until I left. If I was allowed to give zero stars I would.

I had a very painful left shoulder and have had cortisone injections in the past by other doctors but Dr Williams hit the spot first time and my shoulder is almost 100% pain free. Thoroughly recommend him.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
