Martin Poliak, MD

Martin Poliak, M.D. has been my MDVIP for past 5-6 years. I will celebrate my 93rd birthday in a couple of months. His attention, advice, care (Knowledge-Wisdom & Truth) keep me going and doing well. One cannot put a price on that. 

You know how, on all of the police dramas on television, there is always that key person on the S.W.A.T. Team who is able to talk someone down from a ledge so that they don’t jump? Sort of the Hostage Negotiator type? Well, for my husband and I, that person Dr. Martin Poliak. He is a calming and reassuring presence for his patients who is always available to answer a question or assess a problem. We’re now in our sixties and it seems that all of these little things that pop up now, never happened in our youth! Strange! LOL…. We’ve heard it said before “Enjoy your 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s, because when you hit 60, that “Check Engine Light” is gonna come on! Truer words were never spoken! There are some pretty freaky things that are apparently just part of “normal aging!” Who’d have guessed THAT? Ha! Let’s just say that it is wonderful to be able to actually communicate with your Doctor (or as we call him, “The Voice of Reason”), sooner rather than later, just to put your mind at ease. Sometimes we need to be seen, but other times, we only need to try this or that first, to see if it helps. It is wonderful to be able to get a quick answer on something, so that we don’t have to agonize and worry over it until we can be seen, which many times, is more disturbing than the actual health issue we’re having! So, all this to say that Dr. Poliak is a great doctor and that apart from the great medical care that we receive from him, we also appreciate his promptness, kindness, consideration, and his wonderful sense of humor, which always helps the medicine go down just a little bit easier.

Martin has been my personal doctor for a long time, even before joining MDVIP. I have always found him to be a very caring and compassionate person. His bedside manner has always been outstanding. Martin takes the time to talk with his patients both medically and personally, this expresses his concern and well being for his patients. I feel he is both my doctor but also my friend as we talk about our families and what we have both been doing in life. Martin talks to you in plain and easy to understand terms never rushing you out for the next waiting patient. Most especially, he is a good listener first, then my doctor. I consider Martin to be a very smart, wise and experienced doctor. I trust his opinion and advice, even though I stray away at times, I know he is right and only looking out for my best interest. I have been blessed with good health most of my life and with a few exceptions, I only get to see him on my yearly check-ups. But there have been a few times when I was traveling out of the country or during a holiday, I needed his advice. I can rely on Martin to return my call, listen and offer help or order an out of town prescription. I don't feel I will ever find a more dedicated, compassion or caring doctor. I have been blessed and comforted to have Martin as my doctor. I am retired and a veteran: I feel the MDVIP program is too expense for my budget now but I remain a member only because of Martin. It would be nice if there were discount programs for long time loyal patients, veterans or seniors? I feel this would help retain your members and still enable us to stay with the doctors we know and who care about their patients. 

Dr. Poliak always surpasses my expectations by taking the extra time to explain in “specific” detail anything happening w/my medical condition. He handles my annual physicals in a professional manner but at the same time explains results in layman terms as to how he feels I can improve my health!! Thanks My calls/text/questions/request to Dr. Poliak are always answered quickly!! Much appreciated.... Retiring in the next 20 years is totally unacceptable, Ha!!!!
