In one of my most traumatizing experiences in the past 10 years, I recall having severe kidney and lower back pain. I was unable to move or find a suitable resting position for approximately 18 hours. Only walking or standing upright provided any form of relief. I was able to call Dr Hendrick on his after hours line. He quickly provided me treatment options (ice packs, heat, positions to rest) and order a prescription medication to relieve the pain while he stone passed. I received the medication with in 2 hours of calling, and the pain was quickly mitigated. had I had to call or goto an Urgent care or hospital, I do nto think I would have been able to achieve the same results in as fast a manner. I was super grateful for having a primary care physician that was available for me in sucha rapid manner.

I am a nurse at our local hospital. Twenty two years or so a new young doc showed up in our ER, he approached me at the nurses station to ask me questions regarding protocols at CHOMP. This is short for Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula located in Monterey Ca. I could tell he was a kind caring doctor , and he would be an asset to our aging doctor population. Shortly after that encounter I became ill l was hospitalized and guess who was on call? Dr. Hendrick. Yes, I did recover and he has been my doctor since that hospitalization. I followed him from his private practice to MDVIP . I feel he was worth every penny. I have received kind professional comprehensive care from Dr. Hendrick and his staff. He is always available via text or a quick office visit. I would like to thank him for all the years of outstanding care! Thank you,

I’ve been battling a respiratory illness for a few weeks. Late on a Friday night, well after normal business hours, a coughing fit sent me into unconsciousness and convulsions. My wife reached to Dr Hendrick for advice. He responded within minutes, advising me to go to the ER for tests and treatment. Blood tests and a CT scan ruled out certain dire diagnoses, and also revealed the likely problem — a fungal lung infection. Treatment in hospital provided immediate relief from the worst symptoms, and prescribed medications addressed the long-term root cause. We are extremely grateful to have such a responsive, highly competent, intelligent, and kind primary medical quarterback. He is simply the best.

After being with MDVIP for at least 10 years, I feel blessed to now be with one of the best doctors in Monterey County. Dr. Hendrick is the doctor I should have started with as my husband did so long ago. There is nothing like having a doctor that you can truly trust. Dr. Hendrick is the best. There is nothing better than knowing that if you go to the hospital or the ER for any reason, your doctor will be there for you. The "Dose of Positivity" emails during this terrible Virus time are invaluable. The emails on conditions that might be in your future are very good too. I thank God for my doctor, the best in the West. I have learned so much about prevention and we know that is better than a pound of cure. Dr. Hendrick is surely a miracle worker. Ladies, he will not tell you to "take an aspirin and call me in the morning". He actually listens to us ladies like he does the men. That is just great. I have the Greatest Doctor in the whole wide world!! I have received a thousand views on Google Maps on this review of my doctor already.


