My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

As an internal medicine and geriatric specialist with over 25 years’ experience, I have learned that there is no “one size fits all” in medicine. It is important to me that I can partner with each patient so they can be an active participant in his or her care. My smaller MDVIP-affiliated practice fosters a stronger, more personal patient-doctor relationship in which there is more time to understand what motivates the patient to achieve his or her wellness goals and to help identify and overcome any barriers to achieving those goals.

I believe that it is better to focus on prevention, not just treating disease. In my practice, I am able to devote more time to educate my patients about such things as risk factors, lifestyle changes and preventive medicine. In addition, the diagnostic and wellness tools available with my MDVIP-affiliation are valuable for identifying and addressing any issues that may cause illness.

My approach to health maintenance is a practical one. As the father of three boys, a husband, youth sports coach and physician, I know there is not always time to eat right, exercise and “do as the doctor ordered.” For example, in the case of exercise, finding an enjoyable activity will be motivation to continue it. For me, martial arts and lacrosse keep me active and motivate me to eat properly.

In my general outpatient practice, as a geriatrician, and in nursing home and rehabilitation settings, I handle many complex cases. Having a smaller practice allows me more time to help those with more acute needs or complex problems to navigate the health care system, to coordinate care with specialists - which helps avoid hospitalizations - and to help with the continuity of post-hospital care. Similar to conveniences often associated with concierge medicine practices, I also offer same- or next-day appointments that start on time.

My practice in Mount Laurel, New Jersey serves the surrounding Burlington and Camden county towns of Marlton, Voorhees, Moorestown, Cherry Hill and others. In addition to my office, I see patients in Aspen Hills Healthcare Center, a long term care nursing facility and short term rehabilitation hospital, and Buttonwood Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, a psychiatric facility.

I look forward to meeting and working with you to promote and maintain your health.

Telemedicine Option: I am also using telemedicine visits to stay connected with my patients when they are unable to see me in the office. It is easy to do, and we have maintained our momentum with preventive health goals and chronic care during difficult times.

Dr Paul Feldan is the best doctor I have ever met. His correct handling of diagnoses, medication, and response time is definitive of him. He is compassionate and follows up daily during your recovery.

I describe Dr. Paul Feldan as a Medical Professional that’s so much more than a Primary Care Physician. I’ve known Dr. Feldan for over 25 years and took only a brief hiatus away from his practice, as I was originally not embracing the concept of MDVIP. The quarterly cost, on top of paying for private insurance and copays, just didn’t make financial sense at that time in my life. However it… See more

I am appreciative that Doctor Feldan kept me healthy in many occasions: in kidneys, in hernia, in heart, in my sudden constipation, gout, eye glaucoma, etc. He gave me initial diagnoses, prescribed tests and medication, guided me to proper specialists for detailed treatment, then followed up with discussions. He is knowledgeable, caring, and effective. With many thanks, I will stay with Dr… See more

I just wanted to let you know that my doctor has been my doctor since I was fourteen years old. I am now fifty nine so that makes it over forty years. He knows everything about me and still he is my doctor. He has been there through hell and back and again he is still my doctor. Most recently I asked him for help, and he went out of his way for two weeks sending in paperwork to my… See more

Last February while traveling to the airport to vacation in Florida, I had a bout of vertigo that left me disoriented and very nauseous. When I arrived at the airport I was able to find an old nausea pill I had with me for traveling and was able to sleep on the plane. After arriving at my friends house in FL I texted Dr. Feldan and he immediately responded. He was able to send a… See more

My favorite Doctor is Paul Feldan. Paul Feldan is a truly caring, knowledgeable and compassionate Doctor. I have been with him for about 20 years (maybe more, I’ve lost count!). As much as I’ve had many great experiences with Dr Feldan, through good and bad years, I don’t want to pinpoint just one of the many, many times he’s helped me AND my family. I think that would minimize my feelings. Dr… See more

While prepping for a colonoscopy I became dizzy n fell on my face heading to the bathroom. Knowing we should go to the ER, I remembered Dr Feldan (I had recently joined MD VIP). Upon calling, the office said to come right over! By now, the rt side of my face was a kaleidoscope of blue n purple. He examined me, looked at my eyes and said he wanted a catscan. His office arranged for me to go… See more

I don't have a specific story. He (Dr. Feldan) and his team do a great service to me. They are very efficient, friendly and polite. They get me in as soon as they can. Fortunately, I'm blessed with good health and don't need care on a regular basis. I particularly like the manner in which Dr. Feldan listens. He hears me and me concerns. He takes the time to make sure I understand. We live in a… See more

He has been my Primary Care Physician since 1993 and has been caring, professional, detailed and always very thorough. I was in the hospital recovering from a fall and he was gracious enough to stop in and see how I was doing. Upon my release he came to my home to check up on me. As you can well assume, I am extremely pleased with him as my PCP.

from Lou in NJ February 11, 2024 for Paul Feldan, MD

I expressed my concerns over age-related cognitive decline and Dr Feldan recommended a very recent book that has the latest information on the subject and step by step instructions for memory improvement techniques. Dr Feldan is extraordinarily knowledgeable and extends himself to be as helpful as possible.

Several Delaware Valley-based doctors have pivoted from traditional healthcare practice in favor of a more personalized and patient-focused model. They opened new MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices in Bucks, Montgomery and Burlington counties. One of the newly affiliated physicians, Dr.… See more
