About Pedro L. Cajator, MD, ABFM
When I first started out on my medical career, I wanted to be a specialist, like a neurologist or cardiologist – a big shot! Instead, I became a board-certified family medicine physician, and I LOVE it! I never know what type of patient will come through my doors and that stimulates my medical curiosity and has kept me on my toes through the years.
As your primary care doctor, I will partner with you to help you be as healthy as possible. By having more time with my patients and working closely together in my personalized healthcare practice we can help prevent unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations. My patients often share confidential, non-medical information with me that they do not commonly share with their families or close friends. It is an honor that they gave me this special privilege which I will always treasure. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. It also helps me to understand what’s happening in their overall lives that can impact their health.
Besides English, I speak Tagalog and some Spanish. My special interests are neurology, preventive medicine, diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular health. I like to bike and play basketball (when my knees allow me). I am affiliated with Seton Medical Center, California Pacific Medical Center and St. Mary's Hospital. My MDVIP-affiliated practice serves the mid-peninsula area of San Mateo county and the following surrounding areas: San Bruno, South San Francisco and Daly City. It would be an honor and a privilege to be your primary care physician.

I was so impressed with him. Doctor Pedro Cajator, is so nice he takes the time to explain all the lab results and a great listener.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
