Dr. Heinegg saved my life by his diagnosis 20 years. His referral Drs. have been exceptional. He is extremely kind and professional and always reachable.

I have been seeing Dr. Heinegg for over 15 years and have sent several members of my family and friends to him. He has been excellent at listening and diagnosing all of my medical issues. I highly recommend him.

I don’t know what kind of doctor this man is, but he certainly is not community minded. He has set up a bio lab for Covid testing right outside of my apartment. He’s taking up six parking spaces and has a line of cars each waiting for testing. Unbelievable! Blood is taken from each driver and passenger out in the open.
I cannot think of anything more dangerous to the community.
And to make matters worse, the tech who draws blood does not change her gloves in between cars. Frightening!

I don't know what kind of office this is? They are listed under PCP under ins websites as in network yet, I was told he is part of another plan that you must join and pay $1700 out of pocket? The receptionist in fact, stated he does not even see patients and we would get a PA? Sounds like a scam to me? I will be reporting this to the Insurance industry for investigation as he should not be listed on their sites!

Dr. Philip Heinegg has been my doctor for over 30 years now. I can't imagine going to another doctor. He is not only very knowledgable in medicine but is understanding, compassionate and openminded in his treatment of his patients. He has always been there for me when I have had an emergency and has gone above and beyond the call of duty and helped me in other ways over the years. He is also a humanitarian and has donated his time and expertise in helping people in need in other countries. He is truly a kindhearted gentleman and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a great doctor.

If you are looking for an old school GP than Dr. Heinigg is it. He takes the time for total care. My family of four children have been under his care for many years. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I have never experienced such a level of unprofessionalism as I did during my brief visit to Dr. Heinegg's office (1890 Palmer Ave, 3rd Fl, Larchmont, NY 10538) this morning.

Upon arriving, I was greeted by a seemingly displeased receptionist who continued to indicate annoyance over the volume of calls for the duration of my stay in the waiting room. The entire office, including the waiting room, is dingy and in need of serious updates - not a pleasant environment.

I was eventually ushered into the back and began my physical examination with a sweet nurse, who was the only saving grace of this dilapidated business. During my eye exam, which was followed by being weighed, additional paperwork, and peeing in a cup, I was called to the front because my insurance was not going through.

At this point, I was told for the first time during my visit that I needed to have an additional insurance card for my insurance to work. I most likely left this at home and forgot to bring it, although I did promise to return with it upon the completion of my physical - I literally live up the street from the office. This answer did not suffice, and my appointment was subsequently terminated.

I am honestly appalled by the fact that a doctor's office would bring a patient to the back, begin an exam, and then end the appointment during an exam due to confusion over insurance. In my personal opinion, I should have been informed of this prior to the commencement of my physical exam, not during my physical exam. In addition, if I had been told of the insurance issue prior to being brought to the back office for my exam, I would have likely been annoyed and frustrated with myself and would most likely not have felt compelled to write the current review.

This, among other reasons stated above, indicate the unprofessional nature of this medical office and bring into question the practices at this location.

In conclusion, I would urge you to consider other MD options in the area, as I am sure that there are better and more professional facilities. I would not suggest putting your health (physical or otherwise) in the hands of this medical practice.

Dr. Heinegg is a caring, knowledgeable professional. I am grateful to have him as my doctor. I always feel that he cares. I hope he never retires!

Dr Heinig is one of the worst Doctors I have ever come in to contact
with. He left my geriatric father in the most precarious situations more than once! He is negligent, not thorough and way to laid back in times of emergency. He can not be trusted.use him at your own risk.

Dr. Philip Heinegg is a world-class, and old-school physician. That is an exceedingly unwonted combination these days. He is so much more advanced than any other family physician I have ever visited. He spends time with his patients. He listens and then he provides insights that I usually learn about 6 months later. He is always up on the science of medicine and his staff is superb. He also provides excellent care and gives back to his community. No, I am not a family member, no I am not being paid to write this, but I am old enough to have had my fair share of both benign and life threatening medical experiences and I am confident that I know "what is what". I am fortunate to have Dr. Heinegg as my physician and I believe that goes for anyone fortunate enough to come into his sphere of practice.

This doctor is completely irresponsible and out to line his own pocket by enlisting new patients and collecting insurance money. He has put a table outside his office building on the street with a nurse that extracts blood for covid testing. People drive up in their car to have these tests done. The nurse sits on the opposite side of the street with all materials unattended while waiting for patients and doesn’t change her gloves between tests. This is all done right next to an apartment building where elderly people and young children live. He is a hazard to our community and thinks only of himself.

After thirty years under Dr. Heinegg's care, I can testify to his excellent clinical skills, knowledge, scientific curiosity, cordial manner, and total commitment to every patient. I must thank Dr. Heinegg and his dedicated staff for the excellent care I have received over the years.

I can't describe what this office did to me as a patient. A month ago I had a severe accident, and chose this office for primary care. After needing certain scripts for many things, an office manager named Jess hung up on me on three critical attempts to make an appointment. She was rude, condescending, and putting me on hold and then hanging up, was horrible. After I told her how I felt with her behavior, she even said "I'm going to put you on hold, so don't hang up", as if she was patronizing and bullying me. Shortly after telling her how I felt with her interaction with me, Alejandro teamed up with her, with more of a bullying behavior. Two days later, I get a call from Stephanie, saying they are dismissing me as a patient. No words can describe their reaction to a patient standing up for a respectful experience, especially after going through something life threatening. They do no follow the "hippocratoc oath", especially PA Gonzalez, who will give you an evil death stare if you utilize her time too frequently. I pray for them to honor their duty as medical professionals for other patients, but hope they learn their lesson!

I strongly recommend Dr. Heinegg (and his staff). They are an excellent medical practice. They always go the extra mile for patients and they have empathy and compassion, two things that can often be lacking in the current medical environment. Dr. Heinegg and his staff are expert trained, able to do testing that takes days elsewhere and they are always open to providing insight into illness while being careful enough to recommend a specialist whenever it is warranted. If you can get an appointment with the doctor or his staff know that you are in safe, capable and compassionate hands. Just a word on his staff also, they are excellent, supportive, responsive and they actually care about the practice and the patients.

Feel after 30+ years he is a member of the family VERY KIND AND PROFESSIONAL. Saved my life 30 years ago with an over the phone diagnosis. Always depend on his advice.

You will never find a more compassionate and caring doctor who will listen to your ailments and actually diagnose you. I switched from another doctor who was absolutely rude and unprofessional -- Dr. Heinegg was a breath of fresh air the way he was so concerned. He takes his time with you and makes sure to answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend Dr. Heinegg.
