About Randy Kinnard, MD
The world of medicine has changed. Today, patients are bombarded with advertising and have more access to medical knowledge and research than ever before. I believe patients need a physician partner who has the knowledge and time to discuss your goals and help you develop a personalized healthcare plan. You need a doctor you can trust to be up-to-date on current medical treatments and guidelines while understanding that the guidelines may not always be the only and best option for you. As your internal medicine physician, I want to build a strong, personal and professional relationship with you and help you live a healthier life longer.
Similar to concierge medicine practices, my MDVIP-affiliated practice offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. I focus on the aspects of internal medicine, including disease prevention and treatment, as well as hormone optimization. My other interests include alternative diets, such as fasting, as well as exercise for improved longevity.
My office is located in Beaufort, South Carolina, and I see patients from the surrounding areas.

Reviews from the web
I’d 10/10 recommend him!
My wife and I are so very pleased with Dr. Kinnard! He is EXCELLENT! We have had a challenging past 12 months from viruses to minor surgeries to major procedures to local hospitalization - more so than in any recent period. Dr. Kinnard has been there for us every step of the way. Besides in-office care he calls us nights and weekends to check on us. His diagnosis is always spot on. When we needed immediate tests for certain conditions he arranged for them within a day. When we needed a specialty test for a heart condition he personally talked to the local Radiology Head to arrange that to be done properly.
When we had a Sunday morning condition that was very distressing Dr. Kinnard answered his cell phone that Sunday morning when we called him - with us in a tizzy he guided us through what to do. We could not have asked for more!
Apply before he is at capacity!
Also, Meredith and Jennifer are joys to work with. They have their own competency and caring. We love working with them. Delightful and professional individuals.
Prior Post: Dr. Randy Kinnard is an EXCELLENT physician with an outstanding staff!!! We are very pleased to be part of his practice. Dr. Kinnard fulfills in an exemplary fashion having a MDVIP membership.
He is knowledgeable, professional, personable, and CARING!!!
Tabitha, Meredith, and Jennifer are also knowledgeable, professional, personable, and caring themselves – an overall excellent team.
We have had numerous interactions with Dr. Kinnard and his staff the past 7 months as of this writing – all with outstanding results. Our interactions have ranged from just walking in with an injury, to comprehensive physicals, to consistent care for a month-long virus, to his guidance and his personal analysis of a specialty hospital procedure & its associated continued testing.
Appointments are scheduled quickly and easily. The office is “homey” with a pleasant calmness. We have always been seen immediately at the scheduled time.
During an entrenched month-long virus Dr. Kinnard took all of our calls either immediately or called us back within the hour. He called us numerous times himself to assess our conditions, calling in prescriptions as needed. All calls were a thorough 20 minutes in length. He even answered his cell phone when we called one Sunday at 9am during this illness.
As retirees our medical decisions are extremely important so we have found Dr. Randy Kinnard, Tabitha, Meredith, and Jennifer the right choice!
Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
