About Richard J. Seidt, MD
As a primary care physician, I am committed to helping you and all of my patients live fuller, happier and healthier lives. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I make sure every patient receives the time and one-on-one attention required for me to respond to his or her unique health needs. Good medicine cannot be rushed. I enjoy coaching patients through health issues and concerns so they better understand their health and my proposed treatment plans. No matter what life stage or general health condition you find yourself in, we will work together to formulate a personalized wellness plan that puts you in charge of your health and maximizes quality of life through every chapter of your life. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments that start on time.
I am a board-certified family practice doctor with more than a decade of clinical experience serving the diverse population working or residing in the greater metropolitan area surrounding Columbus, Ohio. I have one of the highest patient satisfaction ratings among physicians affiliated with the prestigious OhioHealth system, having received the Patient’s Choice award for each of the past five years. When specialist or hospital care is needed, I will work to direct and coordinate care at OhioHealth’s premier hospitals and with Central Ohio’s leading specialists.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
