About Robert Kopecki, DO
My approach to patient care starts with a good personal relationship. I love being part of my patients’ lives, sharing emotions and developing relationships with them; due to this, my patients are comfortable discussing any medical issue with me. I was a hospitalist for five years after my residency and yearned for relationships like I have now. I am glad I made the change to outpatient primary internal medicine eleven years ago.
My internal medicine practice is located in northern Delaware. My affiliation with MDVIP enables me to provide more personalized care to my patients. This model will allow me to spend a lot more time with my patients to formulate an extensive plan of wellness so that we can share smiles and tears for many years to come.

I am a very nervous patient, and Dr. Kopecki made me feel so comfortable coming to see him. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Kopecki as my PCP for 6 years. He was always attentive to my needs and suggested medical tests and medications that made sense and helped me progress through my medical needs. He was exceptionally available, both during office hours, and at night when significant issues needed attention or assistance. I am moving out of the area and will miss his skilled care. I rarely needed to wait more than a day or two to see him.

Dr Kopecki truly cares about his patients. He is the type of doctor who gives you as much time as needed and thinks about questions from many different angles. Does just quote from medical guide. I read a lot and have never been able to ask him a question that he can’t answer.
This is very rare for doctors these days who can only give patients 15 minute slots and miss important things.
His staff is also very good. Polite, knowledgeable and willing to help.
I left this practice when it went MVIP due to cost. I am back. It’s worth paying a bit extra for excellent care.

I am very happy and satisfied with my Dr. and his office personnel, I get the time I need with him and more if needed. He has always answered my calls when I have had a problem or have been sick and need help. I don't think I would be here today if it wasn't for him, my blood pressure was very high when I started going to him, he has to stay around till I'm home I do not want to find another Dr. He is a sweetheart, I love him like family. Would not know what to do with out him. He is a very special person. Till home I met when I have died. I am 83 years old been with him for a lot of years. He is always there when I need him. Specific examples include prompt responses to questions via the communication portal, immediate appointment availability for post-op pain management and personal phone calls with test results. Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
