About Robin Samyn, MD
As a family physician with over 25 years of experience in the metro Detroit area, I feel that patients are family and not just numbers. I believe the doctor-patient relationship is priceless, and one that is at risk of becoming extinct in today’s traditional healthcare culture. My wonderful staff and I strive to provide more personalized and friendly care, founded on empathy, compassion and communication, along with implementing the latest wellness tools.
My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screening and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. In my smaller practice, I can offer you more individualized care and more time together with a greater focus on prevention, as well as on illness.
I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments with minimal waiting. My MDVIP affiliation allows me more time to foster a stronger doctor-patient relationship. As your personal doctor, I can practice medicine the way I have always aspired and better help you as you pursue the healthier, more active life you desire.
It is my pleasure to serve the Roseville, Grosse Pointe, St. Clair Shores and surrounding areas. I am also affiliated with Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital. I invite you to stop by our office.

Reviews from the web

I’m sure she provides great service, but the price to be seen is unaffordable on top of medical premiums and co pays. Heads up to future potential clients.

Dr Samyn is a Dr who really pays attention to what you are saying, does her best to listen and tried to find out what you might need to keep you feeling your best. She is not the type of Dr that will blindly refill scripts and toss you out the door. Every visit serves to evaluate the continued need, and she is very thorough in general review to try and catch anything she can.
When there are concerns about one thing or another she will not brush it off with some excuse that its fine and lets just wait... she will pay attention, examine the case, and if its in your best interest she will order anything tests or exams that could possibly help. Some may see it as a way to get money but after years working with her i know its not.. She just really cares about her patients and wants to do everything possible to make sure she can keep them as healthy as she can.
I would very highly recommend her if you get are looking for someone great.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
