About Scott Kaiser, MD
As a family physician with 25 years of experience providing personalized, evidence-based care for my patients, I love the deeper connections I make with my patients. Before I became affiliated with MDVIP, I sometimes felt pressure to offer care in a rushed manner, but now, my practice is much smaller and runs at an unhurried pace. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I offer individualized care for patients of all ages. I want to be your neighborhood family doc.
One of the philosophies that has always motivated me is striving to find answers to the unique heath questions and needs of each person I am fortunate enough to serve. I personally help my patients navigate the complex healthcare landscape and help them pursue finding answers through my connections with various specialists and hospital systems in the region.
I am a board certified family physician who grew up in Iowa and who received training at the University of Iowa. I have experience not only providing primary care but also providing same-day or next-day visits, telehealth consults, acute care, women’s health, minor office procedures and travel medicine advice. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.
I have practiced family medicine in Denver, CO, since 2010 and love my clinic in the beautiful Highland neighborhood of the city. The office is welcoming and comfortable. I enjoy being part of a team of other health care professionals and working with individuals with a variety of healthcare needs.
I would be honored to care for everyone in your family. I offer a family plan in which children and dependents of members can be seen in the practice.
I live in the Berkley neighborhood and work in Highland but see patients from all over the metro area, from Thornton, Broomfield and Westminster to Arvada, Lakewood and Littleton. My practice is located only minutes west of downtown with easy access from Speer Boulevard at I-25. There is dedicated parking on site as well as near the many shops and restaurants around 32nd Street.

Reviews from the web

I had been successfully breast feeding my daughter with a goal of making it at least one year. It was difficult! I gained about 15 pounds from delivery to the date of my appointment. I had a list of postpartum things to discuss at my appointment (wrist pain, anxiety, etc). We never spoke about any of those things because Dr Kaiser was fixated on my weight. He told me I was fat, asked me if I REALLY wanted to continue breastfeeding my daughter many times, and told me that “the mother of his daughter lost a ton of weight breastfeeding and she looks great”. It was the most humiliating doctor’s appointment I’d ever been to and I was actually really proud of myself for providing for my daughter. He ordered me to see a dietitian and told me to let him know if I changed my mind about breastfeeding so he could prescribe me something for weight loss. He actually said something to the effect of “breastfeeding is good for your daughter but she really just needs you alive…”. My postpartum depression started that day. I ordered formula for the first time and cried a lot. Luckily I continued to breastfeed my daughter but I lost a ton of weight and my milk supply decreased dramatically. He is supposed to be her pediatrician?! As a family, we will not be going back.

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
