About Scott Yager, MD
I feel extremely blessed to have had the career that I have, serving the area I live in since 1994. I am deeply invested in my patient’s physical and emotional well-being and as a result have developed many close relationships. I cannot imagine my professional life could be any more gratifying.
I strongly believe in treating each patient in a very personalized manner. This can only be done by being truly interested in and spending whatever time is required to understand the factors that play a part in one’s health. I have a particular interest in the impact emotional health has on physical health and spend a good deal of time discussing stress management and mindfulness. I am constantly try to learn more about ways to motivate patients to develop healthy habits. I have always tried to be as accommodating as possible. For years, many patients have had my cell phone number and have been able to contact me directly. To that end, I am very excited to be able to provide care with the MDVIP model, which allows for more time with patients and resources to focus more on disease prevention. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.
I currently have privileges and admit patients to the two major teaching hospitals in New Brunswick; RWJ Barnabus and Saint Peters University Hospitals. Many internists no longer do rounds, but I feel it is crucial to maintain continuity of care through hospitalizations and to also maintain the skills that are required to care for acutely ill patients. I have been acknowledged for many years by New Jersey Monthly magazine as a Top Doctor.

He is the best!
Dr. Yager's experience and expertise is just two of the many reasons I participate in his MDVIP practice.
I will be on the record here , at first I was not going to join it.
Like most people I said to myself I am healthy I go once a year
for routine exams. Why should I spend the money for this type of
medical practice.
Then , it happened to me. No warning ! No symptoms !
I started experiencing shortness of breath playing ball
with my dog. I said to myself this is weird , I feel like I just
played a game of racquetball at my gym.
Last time I had this type of feeling was 25 years earlier. I had
walking pneumonia , very bad shortness of breath. However
this was strange , I was doing an educational seminar on the
last Saturday of February. We took a half hour break , so I played some ball with my dog.
Then it started shortness of breath , no other symptoms !
So , I said to myself what is this? Well , I went and finished
my seminar. Decided to go to bed a little earlier. About 10 PM
I woke up at 2 AM Sunday morning , I heard water on my lungs
and shortness of breath worse now !
However , no other symptoms ! My wife was away that weekend on business. My daughter was home , so I started checking
everything. Still no signs ! Now it's 4 AM same Sunday morning.
I coughed up some blood , got scared and woke my daughter up to take me to hospital.
We got to hospital and they did immediate work on me. Results showed I suffered a pulmonary embolism caused by a blood clot in my left leg. I remembered a muscle pull in my left left , like cramp. I always got those because I am active in life and gym.
So , I just thought it was a routine cramp.
Turns out , ( the cramp ) in my left leg , was a blood clot that traveled to my lungs. They said if it traveled to my heart or brain
I would have been dead on the spot. This is weird , I never get sick ! Well , as I went through this process you need a primary
doctor after they release you from the ICU.
If I did not have Dr. Scott Yager in my corner I would not be able to get the proper care needed. So , I am glad that I joined Dr. Scott Yager's MDVIP ! Here's the main point , I was going to drop
Dr. Yager because I did not want to pay the extra money to
belong to the MDVIP program . That mistake could have cost me my life !
You see , I am just like you. A person just trying to figure things out in life. Here is what I found , don't cut the important stuff !
Cut the other stuff that does not matter to you. Life is a gift and
precious , so is time I will never waste those two commodities
ever again !
Our world , especially since Covid 19 hit us. Has left a problem in
the medical field and other areas of our life. Never before Covid was it so hard to get medical care. Now it's a nightmare , all day !
You can't see a doctor for months now ! They are booked solid and in short supply.
I am grateful that I can share my story with you , and hope you take advantage of MDVIP ! Really , we can afford it. We just need to figure what to cut out that does not serve us , and implement MDVIP because you cannot put a price on your life and your time ! Remember , I was always healthy. I never got sick. This was a total wake up call for me. I hope you can benefit from the value of my true story. See , with MDVIP I get immediate care now , no waiting for any doctors !
Please get your MDVIP provider for peace of mind. Plus the benefits that come with it is amazing too ! Check it out for yourself and may God bless you in your life !
Sincerely ,
Rich

Frequently Asked Questions
Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.
Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
