About Shannon Ray Schrader, MD
I chose to practice family medicine in order to have the opportunity to develop close and personal relationships with my patients. The continuity of care enables me to gleen insight into my patients' lives and the circumstances that may impact their overall health and well-being. My patients are my family members and deserve the best. My philosophy is for my patients to play an active role in their care, and as an MDVIP-affiliated physician, I am able to easily achieve this. Medicine is an art, and time and compassion cannot be overemphasized.

Terrible terrible staff. The front desk person told me to call a different office because the dr practice somewhere else. I asked can you give me that number for that office . She said “I’m being nice everyone has access to google”

Front desk lady that answered the phone (didn’t even provide me with her name) is very rude I tried to book an appointment but she was screaming the whole time very dissappointed in their service. 👎

Dr. Schrader and his staff are top notch. Always available and always prompt in solving my problems. Appointments are always prompt with no sitting around in a waiting room when you get there. I haven’t seen Dr. Schrader in many years but he was one of the best Primaries I ever had. His bedside manner was impeccable, he took his time, he cared. He looked at nutrition and vitamin levels first, if something was off.
I was recently diagnosed with a rare connective tissue disorder and some of the holistic treatments involve nutritional changes that Dr. Schrader helped me navigate through years ago. Many with my condition have PTSD from their physicians. While pondering why mine wasn’t worse, I realized it’s because I chose him as my Primary after some very bad experiences and the contrast helped restore my trust in doctors.
I considered a special trip to see him, from Maryland before I was recently diagnosed because I trusted he’d help me figure out what was wrong with me if I could afford the time it would take. I knew he’d care. I see by other reviews, he hasn’t changed. Houston is lucky to have him.

I have never had such attentive care nor such a thorough physical examination as I I have experienced with Dr Schrader. He is so readily available when needed. I have had a couple situations since becoming his patient that needed quick attention and his response was immediate. Dr. Schrader is the BEST doc I have ever had! He is smart and knowledgeable, keeps up with the latest research, and he is a great listener and a clear communicator. Over twenty ago when first meet Dr. I was preparing leave this world because of my medical condition it did look good to me. I was ready give up all I had just get away. Dr. Schrader encouraged me not give up. I felt that really carried even I did not. When has my caner operation he told me I will be when wakeup I thought grate thought how will you know I hope you will not miss your flight. The first person I saw was him. Word can not say made fill. He has been Dr., and friend. I field bless to have him as my doctor!!! 68 year old I am still working.

This is a great Doctor, he remembers who you are and is familiar with your medical history when you come in, and I've had doctors that have no idea who I am. You can contact him anytime, he returns you call right away. There's almost no wait in his office,and can get appointments on short notice. I am alive thanks to Dr. Shrader. After years of trying to figure out what was wrong with me, I met Dr. Shrader through our work circles. I shared my frustrating symptoms, and he had me hospitalized right then & there. Within days, he had the correct diagnosis, and 20 years later, I am still symptom free. He has excellent bedside manners and is compassionate towards patients. I recommend him 100%.
