Being an MDVIP-affiliated primary care physician allows me to achieve my goals of practicing medicine in an unhurried way, listening to my patients and caring for them personally and proactively. When I meet a patient, I enjoy getting to know them, not just for their medical needs, but as a whole person with emotional and social circumstances. I strive to engage patients to take ownership of their health and improve their lifestyle. By doing so, it is at times possible to reduce the number of medications they are taking. As such, I am committed to regularly reviewing my patients' medications to see if any may have become less necessary or are potentially causing adverse effects. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices. I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments and the ability to contact me during and after hours, which can help address matters in a timely manner. Taking care of new health concerns early or getting a chronic illness under better control may make it possible to avoid an ER visit or an admission to the hospital.

I am originally from Switzerland. My wife, who is American, and I met while in college studying in Geneva. We married and moved to the USA in 2002 and have been in Punta Gorda since 2003. We have two children. I am fluent in English and French.
