About Suben Naidu, MD, MPH, FAAFP
For me, personalized medicine begins with respect, relationships and time. Having practiced medicine since 1989, I believe that outcomes can be influenced by having more time to get to know my patients more deeply and partnering with them in their care. I believe in listening, treating each person with dignity, and delivering individualized care that can support my patients’ efforts toward long term wellness.
I am board certified in family medicine and emergency medicine and bring more than decades of experience across primary care, emergency care and physician leadership. For over 10 years, I served as an emergency room physician at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center caring for our nation’s veterans. I also serve as volunteer faculty at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center, where I teach and mentor medical students—an experience that keeps me grounded in evidence based medicine and lifelong learning.
My special interests include preventive care, cardiovascular health, hypertension, diabetes, nutrition, sleep health and whole person wellness. I have had the honor of serving as president of the Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians and president of the Oklahoma Physicians Resource/Research Network. I am actively involved in patient advocacy through the AAFP and OAFP, including service as Doctor of the Day at the Oklahoma State Capitol. I was recently humbled to be recognized as a Healthcare Hero in Medicine.
I welcome the opportunity to be your personal doctor and primary care physician. My private, MDVIP affiliated family medicine practice is designed to provide personalized healthcare that emphasizes prevention and offers attentive, timely attention.
I care for patients and families in Oklahoma City, OK, and surrounding communities. I am affiliated with Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. By caring for a smaller number of patients, I am able to emphasize closer relationships and a more proactive approach to health.
Similar to conveniences often associated with concierge medicine practices, I offer same or next day appointments with minimal waiting.

Then, he refuses to prescribe medication, attempting to educate on how soonercare used to have case workers that could find the perfect doctor, telling me that I needed to go call a random number. All the while, merrily jabbing you in the guts absentmindedly like he saw in a textbook once. He literally handed me a self-report depression sheet from the 1980s that works on a scale. 0-10 is stable, 11-20 is "needs to be watched", and 21+ is a danger to themselves. The man has no idea how to practice medicine without using his med school journals and textbooks. Hilariously, he actually thought I wanted to continue his care without even listening to me, trying to do a complete physical examination.
Just save time and go to a more attentive, and someone who will listen to you. I only went because soonercare doesn't get a choice, this is the kind of doctor they'll approve.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.
