I have been going to Dr Tasha for a few years now and I absolutely love her, she listens to you with compassion etc, she caught issues with me that my other doctor of 16 years didn’t catch. I will be her patient until she retires.

Been going to Dr Tasha for 8 years. She is an Amazing physician. Highly recommend. Most of the negative comments are due to some office staff that was rude or unhelpful but they got better staff now and haven’t had any issues in about 5yrs. She was even able to help me reverse some chronic illness were as other physicians just want to prescribe medication, she works with you to change your lifestyle to get off medication.

I could care less about any negative comments. I’ve seen both doctors, but mainly Dr. Tasha. She is an exceptional physician, and I’m extremely proud to call either of them my doctors. I could go on an on, but what’s understood definitely doesn’t need to be explained.

I have been as patient as I could be but I cannot remain a patient at this practice anymore. I have received great care over the years, but between the unusually long wait times (stated on the website) and the "policy" I was made aware of this morning, I have to move on. I only go to the office 2-3 times a year. Due to extenuating circumstances I had my 7yo with a sore throat, but wearing a mask, with me. I could not be seen because of my child having a sore throat. A masked child that she would not even need to speak to. Never have I ever known that "sick patients are seen through telehealth visits". There is mention of virtual visits on the website, however nowhere does it say that sick patients need to schedule a virtual visit because they cannot be seen in the clinic. What if I had something that needed to be tested? How could you assess that through the screen? Anyway, I will no longer be a patient here. I was made aware of the no sick patient policy the morning of my appointment when I was told I needed to reschedule. I won't be back so there's no need to reschedule.

I’ve seen both doctors and they are AMAZING and thorough. Dr. Tasha caught some things my previous doc missed. She fixed my infertility and thyroid issues now I have a beautiful baby girl… all because they are thorough over there! Some people say there is a “wait”, but I have to wait at every one of my doctor’s offices. I enjoy seeing a doctor who is going to take her time to see what’s going on with me.

Dr. Tasha Shamlin is an excellent, caring and wonderful physician. She was my Primary Care Provider for a decade, and I haven't found anyone that compares since then.

I sat in this office for 1 hour today and NO ONE called my name.. This was a scheduled appointment. Well the office closes at 12pm today so I just walked out. Definitely getting a new primary physician… just pathetic.

My daughter has been going here for a few years and it’s always an issue with the front desk staff when it comes to getting messages to the dr. To call us back. Well today it was the Dr. I think it’s ridiculous that a child with a common cold cannot be seen if she or he has a cough! My child did not have the virus and still cannot be seen by her pediatrician. Ridiculous! Today was the day we got a new pediatrician that does not mind seeing children with common colds.

Please don’t schedule any appointments if you’re on any type of break for work. I waited 45 min to be brought to the back only to wait an additional 30 min to be seen by my Doctor. No one in the office seemed to be moving with any sense of urgency.

My 1st visit was good. When I met her and her assistant, they were knowledgeable, relatable and professional. I look forward to my follow-up.

The people in this office have no regard for one's time. The last two visits to this office, I've sat in the room for one hour without being seen. This time, they asked me to reschedule because they wouldn't get to me before closing. I've always been on time to my appointments. I denied being rescheduled and will find a new PCP who has respect for people's time.

She is awesome. But her front desk staff is terrible. They need to learn to at least greet patients instead of having them stand there un acknowledged.

When I first tried to schedule my daughter appointment the receptionist answered rudely saying they were at lunch. I called to reschedule and whoever answered still wasn’t welcoming. Made it to my daughter appointment and the receptionist was rude. I tried to show her my insurance card on the app and she wouldn’t even look at my phone. She returned my license to me and gave me the email to send my insurance information. I still don’t understand why she couldn’t look at the card on the app and take the info down like most places. I came back to return the paperwork and she asked for my license again. I told her I gave it to her already and she sarcastically said I didn’t hand it to her. So she basically wanted me to pull my license out just to place it in her hand. She then brings me my license and paperwork back which I took without acknowledging her. That’s when she started to make smart remarks about me and her day to another patient. Whenever she would see me she would stare me down. Unprofessional front staff.

She is a great doctor. I have been going to her for about 10 years now and I would not change to another doctor. She listens to your concerns and addres them immediately, and she do not rush when she is with you. Great sense of humor.

She and her sister are wonderful, but the staff is very horrible. Their feedback about information is unsatisfactory. I waited in line for 2 1/2 hours just to get a Titer. But other than that her and her sisters service is excellent.

I saw Dr. Shamlin 3 times when my regular Dr. was out of town. I even met her at her medical spa to pick-up a Rx! She and her sister are absolutely wonderful! Very caring, professional, and knowledgeable. I read the negative review about her staff. Instead of giving the Dr. a negative review, why not call her or go see her and inform her of how her staff are treating people. Thankfully, I never had any problems like this.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Tasha for awhile now and I absolutely loved going to her when she was apart of BRG so I don’t want to blame her for the problems I’ve been having lately but her staff! I went in to see her like 2 months ago with some concerns so we decided to do blood work. I had to take the initiative to call her office to go over my blood work because I saw them up on my pt portal but NEVER received a call to let me know what the test read after speaking to a nurse about my results she stated that they wanted to refer me over to a specialist and start me on some B12 injections. A month later I get a call from her nurse and she was calling me to go over my test results (the same test results we already went over the month before BECAUSE I CALLED) and she also wanted to inform me that Dr. shamlin want me to start on some B12 injections 🤦🏽‍♀️ something I also already knew because I called a month before to figure out my plan of care oh and let’s not forget I already had a appointment scheduled to get the injection with their office ! I said all of that to say I refuse to go somewhere where the staff operate like that and hope Dr. shamlin see this because I’m sure she’s not aware of the way her staff has been handling things or at least I hope she’s not

DO NOT USE THIS SO CALLED DOCTOR!
Dr. Tasha Shamlin diagnosed a young patient with a life changing disease and added a long lecture to that. Shamed, the young lady left Dr. Shalmins office and called her mom crying with the news. The young girl, along with her family and boyfriend, endured a week of tears, humiliating conversations, and trying to make life long changes. EIGHT DAYS LATER dr. tasha shamlins NURSE called with blood work results, saying there had been a misdiagnosed situation and that THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH THE YOUNG LADY!!! TASHA SHAMLIN DIDN’T EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO CALL THE PATIENT HERSELF AND APOLOGIZE. This was the young girls very first gynecologist visit and one she, and her mom will never forget.

I book my appointment a week ahead of time. They waited until the day of my appointment to tell me they can’t take me because they have a new system and they can’t take both of my insurance. I waisted time and gas coming all the way to bluebonnet from baker.

She’s terrible, not sure about her sister though. Tried to prescribe antidepressants to a 90 year old. Also told her she needed to lose weight, Tasha definitely weighs in at about 275-290.

Frequently Asked Questions

Doctors who operate in the MDVIP models typically see far fewer patients than traditional primary care doctors. That gives them more time to develop deeper doctor-patient relationships that can lead to better outcomes. They can also offer conveniences that most primary care doctors can’t, including same- and next-day appointments. They’re available after hours for urgent matters. And they have time to focus on prevention. That focus begins with the MDVIP Wellness Program, which patients pay for with their annual membership fee.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
