My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

The cornerstones of Family Medicine have always been treating the whole person and promoting disease prevention through a healthy lifestyle. These beliefs have always been the focus of my practice for the past 25 years. As an MDVIP family physician, I am able to continue my life passion with these principles at the forefront.

Fifteen years ago I was overweight with metabolic abnormalities that were the precursors to diabetes and heart disease. With diet and exercise, I was able to achieve and maintain an ideal body weight with normalization of my lab tests and have strived to do the same with my patients. As a result of my personal experience I have special medical interests in weight management, nutrition, diabetes and cardiovascular health. In addition to promoting a healthier lifestyle, I have also cared for many patients with multiple, complex medical problems over the years. These patients need the time and focus that my MDVIP practice will allow.

As your personal physician, I will be able to focus on all of your current medical needs and, through promotion of a healthier lifestyle, to help prevent new health problems from developing. My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, also offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. As a team, we will strive to improve your health status, reduce your reliance on medications and help you attain your lifestyle goals.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Hopkins

from Sandra in AZ March 12, 2020 for Thomas G. Hopkins, MD

My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Thomas Hopkins. Our doctor ceases to amazes us. He responds to our texts, questions and concerns timely and professionally. He offers to send prescriptions to a 24 hour pharmacy after locating one closest to our home. He encourages us to communicate with him regardless of the time of day or day of the week. He shares suggested readings and books to… See more

from Daniel in AZ March 14, 2018 for Thomas G. Hopkins, MD

I decided to give MDVIP a try as our brother-in-law is a physician and just recently became an MDVIP doctor, so I had a vague idea of what the organization was about. I just signed up with Dr. Hopkins in 2017 and had my first executive physical a few months ago. I was thoroughly impressed and pleased with his thoroughness and genuine concern for my health and well being. I have been very… See more

from Lazette in AZ March 10, 2018 for Thomas G. Hopkins, MD

10.5 months ago my husband had a stroke. The doctors and hospital missed the brain stem clot. Since G-d brought Doctor Hopkins to us, we are no longer afraid to sleep at night and to go on with our lives. Thank you, Doctor Hopkins. Bob and lazette
