Meet Thomas Kurland, DO
My goal is to improve your health and maintain your quality of life throughout the aging process. Health has the potential to transcend the physiologic aging process. Aging is a continuous, dynamic and elaborate biologic process that starts at birth and continues throughout our lives. In my MDVIP-affiliated practice, we will work together to create a personalized healthcare program, focused on wellness and prevention, to assist you in achieving your health goals.
My goal has always been to treat each patient as if they were a member of my own family. I will continue to provide this level of personalized care to my patients and their families. Together, our goal will be to improve your health and maintain your quality of life. Nothing is more important than our family, friends and health. I am passionate about providing an environment that will empower patients to create their own personal health goals that promotes exercise, healthy eating habits, decreased stress and prevention of potential medical problems through MDVIP’s Annual Wellness Plan and Health Risk Assessment.
I am a board-certified internal medicine physician who has been practicing general internal medicine for over 20 years. I also have over 20 years of hospital experience in managing critically ill patients with multiple conditions including: heart attacks, stroke, COPD, diabetes and hypertension. My interest is in preventive medicine to maintain patient’s health and limit the need for hospitalizations. My internal medicine practice is located in York, Pennsylvania. I have had the privilege of caring for patients throughout York County and northern Maryland. My office is conveniently located off Interstate 83.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

He was fantastic, I only had the privilege to meet with him a few times before my work had switched health insurance is which unfortunately, he was not a provider under the new company, I’m very mindful and diligent in everything I do even when it comes to picking a healthcare provider for myself. Dr Thomas Kurland and his staff are awesome. I have been a patient of his for years and can honestly say I've received the best care from a most compassionate doctor. He once traveled 20+ miles just to visit me after surgery by a specialist in another town! My husband and myself have enjoyed joining Dr Kurland's MDVIP practice a few years ago. Our care was excellent and we enjoyed his friendship as well. We recently moved across the country to prepare for retirement, otherwise we would still be seeing Dr Kurland. Thank you Dr Kurland, and I hope we find as good a doctor in our new home.

I've always received the most attentive care from Dr. Kurland and his staff. Dr. Kurland has always given me all the time I need during my office visits with him, and he has accepted calls from me after office hours and helped me through emergent situations. I've been seeing Dr. Kurland for many years now, and wouldn't think of going elsewhere for my health care. Very satisfied.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas Kurland, D.O for several years. He is an excellent Physician and has a great professional manner. Dr. Kurland is always willing to spend as much time with me as I need, and encourages me to make an appointment to come back if I need to. I never feel rushed. He makes an effort to treat me personally as an individual. He is upbeat and always smiling.
I like the way he sends personal handwritten birthday cards. And there is always coffee, water and snacks in the waiting room. I actually enjoy going to the doctors!

My wife, Vanessa and I spend 5 month in Florida. One day my wife was having issues breathing so we went to one of Florid's Emergency Cares near us. After better then 2 hours we were in a conversatyion with the Doctor at Emergency Care and he wanted to talk to Dr. Kurland. So I called his cell phone and he picked up right away. They talked over situation and came to a conclusion together. The Emergency Doctor admitted he had never had a situation where a patient could call their doctor and he would answer right away. That said a lot about program and Dr. Kurland.
