Todd A. Peavy, MD

My entire family has been seeing Dr Todd Peavy since his residency at LSU Clinic in Lake Charles, LA. My youngest, McKevin was between two and three years old, and he is now 25 years old. We were back in the days before PlayStation One. He has always been a caring doctor. I remember how I felt that he really cared, knew what he was talking about or willing to find out, and he had impeccable and warm doctor-patent relationship. He actually takes the time to hear his patient’s concerns and complaints, he runs the necessary tests, and does referrals when needed. Over the years, he became like a close family member. I remember bringing my mom to see him, when she was living, and he took good care of her too. He really knows his patients, and I mean even before he joined MDVIP. He always greets me with a tight hug and kiss. I mean always……….even during the COVID-19 Pandemic. He knows how we stuck with him from LSU Clinic, Gauthier Rd, Sale ST, and to MDVIP everyone of us followed. My daughter, Amber, says , “Dr Peavy is My doctor.” We can text or call him anytime and he will get back with you. He even sometimes checks on you. My current memory is my daughter Amber, who has been feeling bad with Long COVID symptoms of a bad cough and feeling bad episodes, had to go part-time at work and could not afford insurance and MDVIP. She reached out to him but he could not see her since no longer a member. She was sooo sad because she wanted Dr Peavy. She knew he could help her. Even though she was no longer a member, he reached out to check on her. That’s the kind of doctor he really is. I know if I brought her and she was bad off, he would still see her, at least once to help her. Yes, we go waaaay back and he has not forgot that. Ya-ba-daba-doo we love you, Dr Peavy.

Dr. Peavy has been my doctor for several years. He is the best I’ve had hands down since relocating back to Louisiana in 2004. When Dr. Peavy joined MdVip I had no problem becoming a member so that he could remain my physician. I have lost many doctors since returning to Louisiana because I felt like a number and not a patient. I realize the blame is not solely on the doctors and that most of them are simply overwhelmed with to many patients, but some are. Dr. Peavy has always treated me with respect and has always made me feel I was his only patient when I am at an appointment. I’ve had several friends who are previous patient call and ask me if it’s worth it to be a member of MdVip and my answer is an always will be yes. Dr. Peavy is very professional, patient and understanding. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and does not make you feel rushed or unimportant. He is very sympathetic to your issues and will do all he can to help figure out the best course of action including referring you to a physician that best suits your needs. He has a no nonsense attitude but yet warm and inviting at the same time. He is not a yes doctor, meaning if he thinks something is not right for you medication, supplements or anything else he will definitely let you know. That is what you need in a doctor. Someone who is looking out for you. As long as your honest with him he will work with you to find what works best for you. He will follow up with you later to make sure you still need the medication or don’t need it or maybe just need an adjustment. I look forward to my appointments with Dr. Peavy because I feel like I’m visiting a friend who just happens to be my doctor. As an MdVip member I am happy that if I have something important to ask him after hours I can leave him a message and he will return my call. That’s one of the benefits of MdVip. Thank you Dr. Peavy for always being there when I need you and a special thank you to his family for supporting what he does an does well. I’m sure it’s not always easy but we appreciate it very much. Your problem child, lol 

It's difficult to shine a light on just one moment that was created by Dr. Peavy that made my heart happy. Through out the past 8 or 9 years there has been so many times in my life that he has gone beyond my expectations as a Primary Health Provider. I'd like to share some recent memories that has put my mind at ease. As well as allowing me to see & feel the beneifit of my health and wellness goals.

I had a scare after getting a mastopexy with beast augmentation. My surgeon's office wasn't providing me with the after care I expected post opt after finding an abnormality that was inconclusive from 4 scans taken in a span of 3 months. I brought this up to Dr. Peavy at my wellness check up after he asked how my body was healing from this surgery. He immediately had me referred to the appropriate doctors for further opinions and had someone call me to confirm an appointment for that following week. It was the diligence and care of Dr. Peavy that got my unanswered questions resolved with promptness and ease.

The next awesome moment was when he set up my son for a visit to address some of his health concerns he had been needing to talk with a physician about.

With every doctor and patient interaction, either via MDVIP messaging, in-person, call or texting after hours he has ALWAYS responded promptly with care.
I have never felt rushed or left with any questions of concern.
He makes sure that my health needs are his priority and I wish I could scream it from the roof top for all to hear how fracking amazing it is to be a patient of Dr. Peavy.
We love and adore him & his staff. I look forward to any visit. He has the warm-welcoming smile along with a comforting hug when I've needed it the most. What more could a patient ask for?
He is IT for all health care needs. I usually don't like sharing the goods :-) , but when your doctor is a rock star, you want to spread the love with your community.

I'm 40 years old and I hit the jack pot when finding Todd Peavy as a PCP. He was referred by several of my friends, and even my patients when I use to work Pharmacy!

Best Dr. In town. I thoroughly enjoy my visits with Dr Peavy. Never once have I felt uncomfortable or anxious about anything to do with their practice. They are definitely the " Not Messing Around Crew".... thanks to Todd and all the staff for seamless medical care!
