Join local MDVIP-affiliated physicians and well-known clinical cardiologist Dr. Perry Weinstock for an informative presentation on cardiovascular disease.

During his presentation Dr. Weinstock will help us understand atherosclerosis and how it relates to heart disease. He will discuss lipids and how they contribute to cardiovascular disease, the way fat is transported through the bloodstream, and how it may be removed from the circulation.

Dr. Weinstock will offer an overview of common blood tests, what the scores mean and what we can do to improve these numbers. He will address diet and lifestyle issues and the latest medications to reduce fats in the blood. Finally, he will review the recently updated cholesterol management guidelines.
