SAN ANTONIO, Texas and BOCA RATON, Fla. – February 18, 2026 — With more than 23 years of dedicated service to the San Antonio community, Dr. Walter Walthall, IV, has launched an MDVIP-affiliated family medicine practice. This new model enables Dr. Walthall to offer his patients more proactive, personalized care with an emphasis on disease prevention, wellness coaching and a closer doctor-patient relationship.
 
Throughout his career, Dr. Walthall has been committed to compassionate, evidence-based medicine that honors the whole person — body, mind and spirit. Inspired by the example of his grandfather, who practiced in the region for more than 50 years, Dr. Walthall believes that truly effective care begins with listening deeply to patients and partnering with them to achieve their health goals.

About Walter Walthall, IV, MD
Dr. Walthall is a board-certified family physician located at 1919 Oakwell Farms Parkway, Suite 120, in San Antonio, Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Methodist Health System in Dallas. He maintains affiliation with Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio.
