My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...
I have been providing primary care to this great community, including Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Tombstone, Benson, Vail and Tucson, since 2003. My philosophy of practice is to have a partnership with my patients for optimal health and healthy aging using a personalized and holistic medicine approach. As your MDVIP-affiliated physician, I will have more time, tools and opportunity to provide predictive, preventive, precise and personalized medicine. I believe if we strive for optimal health, we need to aim for complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease. I understand you are the leader of your personal health, which is why my holistic way of practice will help us work together so you can achieve optimal health and prevent diseases.
This new patient centered medicine will help me focus on your unique health needs and create a personal health and wellness plan. As an internal/functional/integrative medicine practitioner, I will apply a holistic approach in making sure you sleep well, your gut is healthy, you eat highly nutritious food, your hormones are balanced, your stress is managed, you exercise regularly and have healthy relationships. My passion is to create a strong physician-patient collaboration based on mutual trust and respect. This mutual collaboration will allow me to practice 21st century and futuristic medicine to optimize your health. I am also able to create an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patient and physician to work in partnership to find underlying causes of diseases. I believe that we don’t need to ask what disease you have; we need to ask why you have it.
I have been practicing medicine for more than 15 years and have established partnerships with specialists to help you with your unique health needs. As an MDVIP-affiliate, I will be able to connect with Medical Centers of Excellence for a higher level of medical care, if required. I am very excited to practice preventive and proactive medicine rather than reactive medicine. My belief is “prevention is better than cure”. We can predict future diseases by advanced lab markers and the MDVIP Annual Wellness Program.
I love to go for hikes in the desert and workout at the gym because I believe exercise is part of leading a healthy lifestyle along with a balanced diet.
