Expanding the MDVIP Footprint in Greater Buffalo with Dr. Eric Thierman

GETZVILLE, New York – February 16, 2026 – MDVIP is expanding its footprint in Buffalo, New York, with the addition of Eric Thierman, MD, its 8th physician in the region, as demand for personalized primary care continues to surge. New York remains one of MDVIP’s five fastest-growing markets, a trend driven in part by widespread physician burnout, long wait times, and patients struggling to find doctors who can truly partner with them on prevention.

By joining MDVIP, Dr. Thierman offers a smaller patient panel, giving individuals the time, guidance, and evidence-based support they need to take an active role in their long-term health. He practices alongside fellow MDVIP affiliate Dr. William Healy at 2235 Millersport Highway, Suite 100, in Getzville, forming a growing community of clinicians committed to delivering proactive, prevention-focused care to patients across Western New York.

A Return to Patient-First Medicine

Dr. Thierman brings an approachable style of medicine that centers on genuine relationships and unhurried conversations. By focusing on prevention and maintaining a smaller panel, he can sit with patients, talk through what’s happening in their lives, craft personalized care plans, and follow up directly. Patients can expect to hear him over the phone himself, a small gesture to establish his practice around connection, continuity, and the kind of grounded, human-centered care that makes patients feel seen, supported, and part of their own wellness journey.

“I believe that medicine isn’t about sitting in a room and listening to a doctor lecture about what’s good and what’s bad. It’s a conversation that deserves time and space, which I can confidently provide with the MDVIP model. I can sit with patients, talk about what’s on their mind, and hone in on the concerns they want to discuss. My goal is to keep things personable and easy, not so cut and dry. I want to hear about my patients’ favorite hobbies, and I’m happy to share what’s new in my world too, like my son’s latest cross-country meet. That connection is what makes personalized care possible.”

The MDVIP Advantage

With MDVIP, patients gain a partner in long-term health. MDVIP-affiliated physicians care for significantly smaller patient panels, typically around 600 patients compared with 2,000+ in traditional practices, allowing for longer visits, deeper relationships, and truly individualized care.
