MDVIP Expands in Southern California with Family Medicine Practice Led by Dr. Mark Galbraith in Mission Viejo
MISSION VIEJO, Calif. and BOCA RATON, Fla. – March 12, 2026 – MDVIP today announced the expansion of its primary care network in Orange County, California, with the addition of Dr. J. Mark Galbraith in Mission Viejo. Dr. Galbraith, a board-certified family medicine physician with fellowship training in sports medicine, is located at 26732 Crown Valley Parkway, Suite 511, in the Mission Medical Tower.
As an MDVIP affiliate, Dr. Galbraith maintains a smaller practice size, allowing him to provide patients more time, personalized attention and a closer relationship with their primary care doctor. His areas of interest include cardiovascular health, diabetes, hypertension, nutrition, weight loss, and musculoskeletal injuries, with an emphasis on sustainable lifestyle changes that can support improvements to overall well-being.
A Care Model that Empowers Patient and Doctor
Dr. Galbraith’s path to family medicine was shaped by personal experience. After suffering an injury while playing college football, he encountered firsthand the consequences of fragmented healthcare, including two unsuccessful surgeries, which motivated him to pursue a different approach for his own patients. Originally drawn to sports medicine, he discovered a deeper passion for family practice, where he has been able to build long-term relationships and help patients stay active, healthy, and engaged in life.

Dr. J. Mark Galbraith is a board-certified family medicine physician located at 26732 Crown Valley Parkway, Suite 511, in Mission Viejo, California. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He is also fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine at Ohio State University. A former college athlete, Dr. Galbraith served for 27 years as team physician for Saddleback College’s Athletics Program. He is affiliated with Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo, where he was previously chairman of family medicine. He embodies the active lifestyle he encourages for his patients, from biking and paddleboarding to spending time with family, including seven grandchildren.
