My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

As a primary care physician, your well-being is my first priority, and I am thrilled that the MDVIP program allows me the time to care for you, and about you. This core concept is often overlooked in today’s complex healthcare environment. In my personalized care practice, caring happens in the office, in the hospital, and on the phone to help with problems that come up after hours. Many times, this can mean avoiding inconvenient, uncomfortable and expensive visits to the emergency room.

Different people have different needs, and I choose to have a small, very personal practice, so that my staff and I can focus on each of our patients as the individuals they are. This allows us the time to really listen to you and to work together on an action plan that will help you achieve a healthy and vibrant life. Our focus is not only diagnosing and treating disease but also preventing it by identifying early warning signs before illness can occur.

As one of the few internal medicine doctors in Chester County offering this personalized healthcare approach,  I provide a level of care that can help make a happy, healthy future your reality. I also offer conveniences, like same- or next-day appointments that start on time, which may be found in concierge medicine practices.

My primary care practice is located in Paoli, Pennsylvania, and currently serves the surrounding towns of Malvern, Berwyn, Wayne, Exton, Chesterbrook, Devon, Downingtown, Newtown Square, West Chester and Phoenixville. I am affiliated with Paoli Hospital.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Cooperman

from Marsha in PA March 21, 2023 for Jay S. Cooperman, MD

We have been MDVIP patients for around 12 years. My husband and I moved from Las Vegas, Nevada, to PA and searched for another concierge doctor in our new area. The transition was difficult because we had been with our wonderful concierge doctor for about 11 years. We researched doctors, on the PA MDVIP site, and called several offices to ask many questions. When we came upon Dr. Jay Cooperman… See more

I never say it, but Dr. Cooperman is always there for me , even on the phone, if nothing more than to reassure me that everything is ok. I moved away from the area and have changed several of my doctors, but not Dr. Cooperman.

from Mary in PA March 10, 2020 for Jay S. Cooperman, MD

Dr. Cooperman is always there by phone or text for any concern. He even called me back when he was on vacation! He is an inspiration for me to be healthier, and gives me the reassurance that, were I to have serious life-threatening conditions in the future, he would do everything in his power to facilitate my care and recovery, including coordination among specialists. I find joining MDVIP… See more

I was in the hospital for a 2+ days in early September. Dr. Cooperman stopped by frequently to check on me and answer all my concerns. He really put my mind at ease. I’m truly thankful for his progressive bedside manner and his empathy. I feel I’m in good hands.

from Charlotte in PA March 12, 2018 for Jay S. Cooperman, MD

Three years ago, I went through a lung cancer scare. Because of it's location, it could not be biopsied. Dr. Cooperman shepherded us through the crisis; he was there every step of the ordeal. He recommended wonderful specialists and got me in for second opinions to doctors who were booked months ahead. This is how he handles a crisis. On an everyday basis, Dr. Cooperman answers questions… See more
