My Philosophy and Approach to Wellness...

As your personal physician, it gives me great pleasure to better serve your healthcare needs. My MDVIP-affiliated primary care practice focuses on wellness and prevention with a proactive approach. I feel strongly that engaging my patients and educating them about their health enables and assists with informed decision making.

I am board certified in family medicine and have a broad range of additional medical interests. Through my years of experience as a family practitioner, I have been devoted to treating patients with care and compassion, a philosophy that is affirmed by my affiliation with MDVIP.

My medical assistants and I have earned exemplary recognition for our use of patient-centered, coordinated patient care processes from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

The MDVIP model of practice helps me to offer more personalized healthcare; it helps develop closer doctor-patient relationships. I am also able to help formulate a wellness plan that is suited for you. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments.

My practice is near West Houston, and patients come from a variety of locations, including Katy, Sugar Land, the Inner Loop, Spring Branch and Memorial areas, among others. I am a member of the Memorial Hermann healthcare network, enabling me to offer my patients a wide range of resources.

Testimonials from patients of Dr. Shapiro

Dr Shapiro is one in a million. While I have multiple stories I could share from over the past several years, one recent story stands out. Most recently I have been quite sick and Dr Shapiro has been the guiding light in my journey. He is always there when I need a sound second opinion, referral or a friendly ear. Not all doctors listen like Dr Shapiro. I have many, many, many doctors but Dr… See more

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Shapiro since the 1980's. He has always been kind and very patient with us. I have never felt rushed with him, even before he joined MDVIP. It's great to have a doctor 24/7. He is wonderful about returning calls over the weekends.

from Rosemarie in LA February 18, 2024 for Stuart A. Shapiro, MD

Been seeing my Dr. Stuart Shapiro many years before he moved into MDVIP. I did follow him there to continue to be his patient. Though it is a hefty price point, I chose it to have seamless care. The additions of the health care enhancements, and More wholistic care are excellent, and I am not a stranger to them. Long before MDVip, I felt he was interested in mental health, and… See more

from Karen in TX March 12, 2020 for Stuart A. Shapiro, MD

Dr. Shapiro is one of the most caring doctors I have ever had. He is straight forward with his care of me. He tells me what I need to hear. He is caring and compassionate. He takes his time when I come in for a visit and I never feel rushed or hurried. When my husband died very suddenly, he took the time to check on me to see how I was doing. He is a very knowledgeable man and I trust… See more
