Above and beyond

I was hospitalized for bleeding ulcers. Dr. Weikart was on the floor the day I was supposed to be released. I was in the hall and Dr. Weikart stopped and asked how I was feeling and we talked. When I got back to my room I thanked him for visiting with me and he gave me his card. He said if I needed anything to call, this was Christmas Eve. When I left the hospital I had a prescription that had to be filled. When I got to the pharmacy it was closed. I didn’t know what to do so I called Dr. Weikart, he was having dinner. I told him I couldn’t get the prescription filled, he said you have to have it or you will bleed. He called another pharmacy and got me a prescription. I will always be grateful for what he did that night.
