I met Dr. Timmerman at a time when no other professional was willing to do the necessary diagnostic tests to identify a variety of right leg symptoms finally causing swelling of my entire leg.
I had been struggling for months to get any physician to do necessary diagnostic tests, but I was put off every time with weak excuses.
Then, thank goodness, I joined MDVIP and received proper and fast medical care.
Dr. Timmerman listened carefully and to my pleasant surprise stated that I likely had lymph adenopathy, but it was possible I had the cancer known as lymphoma. He also noted that if one had to pick a cancer, lymphoma was the best one as it was typically curable. He then gave me a script to get a support stocking to contain/reduce the leg swelling.
I later had an obvious symptom of a swelling under my right arm, and medical diagnostics done in a different state produced no useful diagnosis as the chosen method of biopsy was known by practitioners to be of little value.
I turned to Dr. Timmerman for help, and I quickly was connected with a fine surgeon who did a proper biopsy and it was determined that I indeed had lymphoma. Dr. Timmerman then connected me with an excellent oncology practice, and I quickly received surgery for a port and soon thereafter my first of six sessions of chemotherapy.
To cut to the chase, that was seven years ago and I am free of lymphoma.
Think about how much it meant to me to have a physician both great in explanations, preliminary diagnosis of possibilities, and great in referrals, not to mention someone patient with me to assure my knowledge was accurate and sufficient.
Dr. Timmerman has my highest liking and respect for how he conducts his practice and how he interfaces with his patients.
