Recently we went to Chile which was so scenic and beautiful. On arrival, we were walking from the terminal to our tour bus pushing our suitcases. There was a 30-40 mile/ hour wind and as I crossed the parking lot, it blew my suitcase over and it knocked me to the ground. I landed on my buttocks, and my back and then hit my head on the concrete parking lot, as I did a whip-lash movement. I do not remember who helped me up and how I got to the bus, but my husband and fellow travelers (whom I had not met yet) were very helpful. I continued on the trip and had a wonderful time. Upon returning I saw Dr. Esther Guy and she was very helpful and kind in letting me know the next step, which was an MRI since I was having headaches every day. The headache did not respond to Tylenol or Advil. The other meds. suggested were a muscle relaxer and Naproxen which made me go to sleep. Dr. Guy followed through by letting me know there was no concussion or ill effects on the brain from the fall. She was responsive and caring during this time when I did not know the next step and if there
were other doctors I should see. I appreciate having her as my doctor, especially since I am 74 yrs. old, with osteoporosis, and cannot afford to fall.
