I am now 90 & 3/4 years old. That is a long time to have to deal with health-related issues, which inevitably means being cared for different doctors over that lengthy period. Dr. Keshishian is by far the best primary care doc I have ever had. First and foremost, she is very thorough in requesting very detailed tests, e.g., blood profiles essential for recognizing significant abnormalities that reflect serious health conditions, e.g., high blood pressure, cholesterol, abnormal glucose, etc. Fortunately, I do not have any of these, but I did have abnormally high lymphocyte counts, representative of CLL (chronic lymphocyte leukemia). She referred me to an oncologist how prescribed an excellent medication (Calquence) that has restored my white cell counts to normal, thereby also allowing a rebound for my red blood cell population, essential for energy. When I began encountering low energy when exercising, she prescribed an inhaler which, when used regularly, has helped greatly in restoring my energy levels so that I can take long walks, exercise at the gym and even improve my playing the clarinet (takes a lot of air to do it well!). When I had a fall (I landed on my back), she immediately referred me to the local hospital (same day!) for X-rays, CT scans, etc to confirm that nothing was broken and there were no series injuries. When I fell ill with COVID-19, she immediately prescribed plaxlovid, which helped moderate the condition and allowed a speedy and full recovery. And, just before leaving for a long-distance trip on a cruise to the Antarctic, I developed an eye infection, she responded to my call for help within hours, diagnosed it immediately as a bacterial infection and prescribed tobramycin, which cleared the infection within a few hours! These examples are but a few of the many examples of excellent care, beyond what I ever experienced with other doctors. She is my guide for my hope for continuing a long life.
