I transitioned to the care of Dr. David Carl Fisher last year and have had three in person visits and two phone contacts (My chart responses). It is a comfortable relationship and I trust him as he agreed, in my initial interview, to oversee the care of my last illness and treatments to prevent pain as possible. I am 82 years old and I realize I have already exceeded the projected female life span. I am healthy and positive and rely on Dr. Fisher's judgements for preventative care interventions. He immediately ordered a blood pressure medication to stabilize my fluctuations; prescribed Vit. D for low levels ; recommended intermittent fasting for my obesity with nutritional advise ( I have lost 27lbs so far) and suggested a skin care cream for excessive dry skin areas and an evening medication for nighttime sleeplessness. (now sleep thru the night).. He immediately responded to my positive CO-VID test status and called in the medication to the local pharmacy. I plan to retire next month and continue to be healthy under his care and direction. I appreciate feeling secure, as I anticipate eventual physical and mental decline with the aging process, as presently I have arthritis in left ankle/foot and decreased grip strength on my right side. The Physical therapist recommended a pain medication and Dr. Fiser immediately recognized it was one of my medication allergies and did not order it. He has suggested Tylenol arthritis as an alternative. Dr. Fisher also :prescribes" for the spirit by sending via emails monthly, which he calls doses of positivity. As part of his annual visit he administers a mental health assessment scale and even though I do have "senior moments" I am still have a normal evaluation, which reduces fears related to the aging brain. I am physically and mentally fine and thank him for his excellent medical practices and I remember what Mark Twain said: " age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind it, it doesn't matter"
