It's a bit of a long story, but a good one to highlight how important Dr Ted Lawson has been to my "life". I started seeing Ted as my Primary Care Doc back in 2007 or 2008 when I was still in the Air Force. I appreciated his very professional and knowledgeable demeaner... as well as the fact that he laughed at most of my stupid "opportune humor." In June of 2014 I started feeling lethargic and not my normal high-energy self. My wife insisted that I see Ted ASAP, and I did. He listened to my symptoms, listened to my heart, etc... and immediately referred me to a Cardiologist. Fortunately, the Cardiologist completed an angiogram that found five heart blockages -- the worst being a 98% blockage of the Left Anterior Descending artery (otherwise known as the "widow maker"). As a result, a Cardiac Surgeon completed a quintuple bypass, and I've been fine ever since. Ted could've easily have pushed this off and told me to go home and take a couple aspirins or something. But he didn't... he took immediate action and referred me... and who knows what would've happened otherwise. It's clear the continuity of care up to that point, nearly 7 years, was a large part of this, and no doubt way different from what I was used to receiving in the military. I trust Ted Lawson emphatically... and so much so that when he moved over to the MDVIP Program, I too became a MDVIP member in order to ensure he remained my Primary Care Dr. I consider Ted one of the very best doctors that I've ever known, and believe he literally saved my life... It doesn't get much more profound than that!
