Dr. Rose Paiva is the GOAT of Her Profession!
We all know, It takes a lot to find a doctor who listens. I mean really hears you and believes what you are saying, even if all the tests you have taken do not reflect what you are describing. That is called respect. Dr. Paiva believes that most people, have a natural knowing of their own bodies. Science and medicine go hand in hand but sometimes, there is a spiritual interference… or a knowing, so to speak, and Dr. Paiva is not afraid to explore the unexplainable. That shows true grit in her profession! She is more than willing to say, “I don't know, but let’s find out!”
We all know that doctors are just people with an education. She knows it too! There have been many times that I have had to explain to Dr. Paiva that even though my tests came back normal…I still felt there was something wrong. Something in my gut was telling me to do it again. Look again! And she always does! Whether it makes medical sense to her or not, she hears me! She goes the extra mile to dig deeper simply upon my word, my knowing, that something just isn’t right. And that right there… that lack of ego VS respect for the patient, is what makes Dr. Paiva an extraordinary Physician!
She never makes me feel rushed and she loves to learn! That’s what a good listener does! She asks questions that pertain to my personal life, such as: How are things going? Because she knows that life’s stressors can have an impact on your physical health! That and the fact that she truly cares about my well being and what is going on in my life? I believe It is her window to my overall health in general.
I have never had to… but I would not be afraid to question Dr. Paiva’s diagnosis. I would not feel intimidated if I had to question her reasoning. She has an open heart and an open mind policy. These things I speak of are not taught… they come naturally to a person who loves what they do! And her staff is a direct reflection of her kind and caring leadership. They are a wonderful, respectful and caring team! My gosh! Who can say they love going to the doctor?!
Me! I can say that!
In closing, I would be hard pressed to find another Physician who could hold a candle to Dr. Paiva’s professionalism, her intelligence, her warm and devoted personality, and her integrity! She is…and always has been and always will be, an outstanding Practioner who sets the highest standard for the word: Doctor! They broke the mold when she graduated!
