In 2010 I had lithotripsy to break up a large kidney stone in my left kidney. All went well with the surgery. A few weeks later I started feeling ill with flu like symptoms. I had a fever, was lethargic and had all the symptoms of the flu. As the days went by, I felt worse and finally my husband said I needed to see Dr. Wilson. After examining me, Dr. Wilson became suspicious that my symptoms, while typical flu symptoms, might be caused by something other than the flu. I really thought I had the flu but went to the hospital at Dr. Wilson’s insistence. The next thing I remember was waking up after surgery to insert a drain into my kidney as well as removal of a piece of the original kidney stone that had become stuck in my left ureter. I was told that I had become almost septic from the infection that had started because of the stuck kidney stone fragment. I truly believe that Dr. Wilson saved my life with his expert medical knowledge and skill. If he had not suspected something besides the flu and had not sent me to the hospital, I wonder if I would be alive today. Dr. Wilson is a wonderful, dedicated, and caring doctor.
