My story of what my valued Dr. Richard Martin and RN Jenny mean to me cannot be summed up in a paragraph nor described in a single event. I became a patient of Dr. Martin 13 years ago as I retired from a long career law-enforcement practically void of medical issues, but I knew I would need more care as I eventually Entered the later stages of life. I could not begin to heap the praises upon Dr. Martin and his fine staff of nurses and technicians enough to do them justice. Dr. Martin has provided me access to the finest of specialists, surgeons, and referrals that have dealt with every medical issue that has come my way including several that were potentially life-threatening and a couple of emergencies. When I was unable to make it to a hospital during a severe blizzard storm, Dr. Martin called me several times and stayed on the phone during the night to monitor my condition, and determined I needed care as soon as I could get to an emergency room. I indeed needed emergency surgery and he checked me in so efficiently and he and my beloved nurse, Jenny visited me in my room before and after surgery to ensure my recovery and aftercare. On other occasions I’ve had near emergency circumstances arise, and was able to come directly into the office for assessment, one such occasion becoming an emergency while I was there, and was ushered directly to the emergency room for care Dr. Martin has a special talent for interviewing patients not only to determine their medical needs but family history and assessing their mental condition, and life situations that affect health and quality of life. Even during the period of months when I’m not experiencing any medical problems, Dr. Martin simply calls to see how I’m doing and engages in. Great conversation about topics in general. I’ve always been able to make phone calls into the office just to inquire about minor medical situations that have avoided going to the hospital or unnecessarily occupying space or time in the office or hospital . He has the ability to recruit the most compassionate and qualified nurses and staff, and even receptionists who genuinely care about my well-being. Even though I became as patient long before he joined the MD VIP plan, I knew the investment to stay with him through the organization, has enhanced my ability to stay healthy, assess my medical needs, and address medical emergencies and treatment, several of which have saved my life and restored me to a level of health to enable me to thoroughly enjoy my life. I frequently share with them just how much they mean to my life and well-being but I’m pleased to be able to tell the administrators of Mdvip about it also. Best of luck and good health to all.
