Life is a journey that we have to navigate on a daily basis. For the most part we do the best we can to manage, but every once in a while there is unexpected detour that we didn't see coming, nor were we prepared for. Thats what happened one day when I woke up in the middle of the night sweating profusely and feeling what felt like my heart beating out of rhythm. It all started with a stomach bug that lasted longer than it should have (2 weeks) and resulted in me experiencing cardiac arrhythmias. It was one of the scariest seasons of my life as the next couple of months I was in out of the hospital with no answers as to what was happening to me. I was admitted, many tests were ran, but inconclusive. Then discharged to go and see different specialists. One of the scariest feeling is hearing words that you don't want to hear from a physician. But I found out in the season that what's just as scary was hearing from physician's that they don't know what's happening to you.

This is when I decided to give MDVIP a try. My first appointment with Dr. Charles Metzger Jr changed EVERYTHING. It was an introductory meeting. I was so used to trying to tell rush and tell my story to a medical provider with the limited time I had in the exam room. My first appointment with Dr. Metzger lasted longer than a hour. It was the first Doctor's appointment that I had to bring to an end LOL! I was only on my lunch break and had to get back to work. But we covered so much in that one appointment, not just about my present health challenges that I had been experiencing for the past several months, but also what future challenges that I was genetically predisposed to based on both my mother and father's side of the family. After that appointment I went back to work feeling relieved...like I had a partner on my path to restoration.

The BIGGEST and most pleasant surprise to this story was that maybe a day later after that introductory meeting, I got a call from the doctor's office and it wasn't from a staff member. Dr, Metzger was calling me personally to follow-up on our discussions. He wanted me to know that he completely review my file and the stack of discharged paperwork and even spoke to the specialists I have been seeing. He explained that some of the medications that I was prescribed by the specialists was either too strong or even clashing with the other medications that I prescribed by other specialists, which was prolonging my healing process and probably the cause of other symptoms. So, he reduced the dosage of the some medications and took me off of others and reassured me that he would be on top of this. I remember getting off the phone and feeling so relieved. I didn't just have a new doctor....I had advocate and partner in health!

Over the next couple months Dr. Metzger and I put together a personalized annual wellness plan specific to my health care needs. By the grace of God we were able to overcome that health challenge and fully turn things around.

I first and foremost place my faith in Jesus and I truly thank the Lord for placing Dr. Metzger in my life. I believe he is Heaven sent. Not only did I sign up for his practice, but I immediately enrolled my wife as well. Now, 10+ years later, both my wife and I are still more than satisfied patients. We are more in tune with our health and the lifestyle choices we are making not just for ourselves, but also for our 4 kids as we are a family of 6. We are pleased with where we are currently in our health and we are looking forward to continuing our relationship with Dr. Metzger and his AWESOME team. I would be remised if I didn't also call out his team/office staff. They are so amazing and we have NEVER experienced a disappointing encounter with Metzger Comprehensive Care as a WHOLE.

Thank you for the opportunity to share our life changing experience! Have a blessed day. :-)
