I tell everyone how Dr. Herman saved my life when I first met him about 30 yrs ago. I was scheduled to have my tonsils out but got a call from the ENT practice that they cancelled my surgery as there was a spot on my rib that concerned them. I took my x-rays to Dr. Herman who looked at them and compared them to previous x-rays I had taken. He felt there was something not right so he took both sets to the radiologist at a local hospital who said the x-rays belonged to a much older person. It turned out that the radiologist at the hospital where I was having my surgery mixed my x-rays with those of an older woman. I had lost both my parents at a young age and my Mom due to cancer just a couple of years previously, and I went into a panic. Dr. Herman called me at home on a Friday evening telling me what happened. I am eternally grateful to him. I like to say he never forgets ANYTHING, but I am so glad he doesn't.
