Every woman’s nightmare!
On July 27, 2021, I found a breast lump. I immediately phoned my MDVIP physician who saw me in his office as soon as I could get there. Ultrasound and mammogram were done the same day. He referred me to Roger Maris Cancer Center and scheduled a breast biopsy and consult with a breast surgeon before the Nurse Navigator called me saying “he can’t do that, that’s my job!” Appointments followed with medical and radiation oncologists. Things happened fast! Within a week, I had surgery to install a port and start chemo: After 4 months of chemo, surgery, 33 radiation treatments and 5 more months of chemo, I got the “all clear!”. My MDVIP physician continues to care for— and care about me!
