Time and empathy

Dr. Toupin always takes the time to listen to my concerns and to talk me through them. On my last visit, he indicated that it's time for a followup test. Knowing that I had surgery planned, he said "call me when you're ready to schedule the test. You have too much on your plate right now." That sensitivity to what's going on in my life really touched me.
