A year ago my husband and I decided to become a member of MDVIP with Dr. Costa as our Physician. It was on the recommendation of a co-worker and our son. Needless to say, it has been the best choice we have made for ourselves. From day one, Dr. Costa eased our anxiety and we began to build a very personal Doctor-Patient relationship (exactly what we were looking for).

My husband and I needed someone who would take the time to know us, hear our concerns, provide medical care when we are sick, and help us to maximize the good parts of our existing health. Then, set goals for us to address those concerns which were causing anxiety, and put a plan in motion. He did just that, and more! He connected the dots and is helping us to attain overall wellness while caring for us when needed.

When Dr. Costa reviewed every aspect of our health there was dialogue, explanation and discussion. He always wants you to be sure you understood the plan he had in motion with regard to attaining wellness. Whether it was a test he felt was warranted, a change in prescription, or simply recognition of an underlying problem or fear. Dr. Costa not only gave you his time, his professional expertise, but you left knowing he also gave his trust.

For example, my husband had a chronic foot issue, Dr. Costa began with identifying what he thought was the problem, scheduled additional testing to confirm his suspicions, changed his pain medication and found a solution. But more importantly, Dr. Costa knew my husband's business depended on the daily use of his feet. He saw the frustration in his face, and heard it in his complaints of pain. He understood and he listened.

For me, it was the side effects of medications which were causing me such anxiety over the years. He altered a few medications, changed a dosage and gave me a detailed 6 week schedule to follow. We were both surprised at how effective the regiment had been and the side effects are virtually non-existent. I was stunned! Once again, he was thorough, knowledgeable and very deliberate in executing a plan that he felt would work, and it did. What is truly quite remarkable is his humility to let you know that if this doesn't work we will try something else. But always the underlying understanding, we will find a solution.

What my husband finds most valuable, in addition to all the above, he is available to us all the time. When you call the office his staff knows who you are and is friendly, receptive and comforting. Anna and Diane are absolutely terrific in every aspect of what they do to provide outstanding patient care. It is a rather unique team, one we are glad to have on our side.

He has made a difference in our health and we are just so happy to have him as our Doctor.
