Dr. Mary Beth Butcher: Full Attention

Dr. Mary Beth Butcher has been my PCP for over thirty years. Prior to that she was one of the doctors who treated my father in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She (and I) were very young at the time and I remember being struck by the fact that she came to the waiting room before (or maybe it was after) one of his surgeries and actually sat down with the family to discuss his current health situation and, most importantly, LISTEN to our responses and questions. The time she allotted to this and the sincere attention she gave us was unusual at this time and I believe is still a rarity. We had never met her before this moment and we all commented on it. Years afterward, when I searched for a personal physician, I recognized her immediately and chose her without hesitation. I have NEVER regretted this. She knows me well and provides even more attention to the details of my life and my personal (and sometimes quirky!) needs, questions and thoughts. I trust her. She is not afraid to give me direct feedback, but she is sensitive to where I am in the process. I don’t think anyone could ask for more from a doctor.

Her skills are amazing and the relationship she offers me is of the highest quality.
